PMDG 747v3

TFDI 717 was pretty disappointing with all the bugs, but it does seem that TFDI is committed to fixing the bugs in pretty short order... I just hope they make true on that, because the add-on has a lot of potential.

What I really don't like about TFDI is the false advertising they did... at no point was it ever told to the public that it would not be a complete release, no TOC/TOD, and the MCDU is only 75% complete is what they NOW say over in their forums.  IMHO not cool, if they had said that it wasn't complete and offered this at a discount I would feel totally different.

That's why I've decided to wait until some more progress is achieved by the developers.

Guess you have never flown a Carenado plane.

Be interesting to see how well the QW 787 is modelled. Not that it excites me that much. Pretty ugly airplane. But will be cool to use it long haul.

The iFly 747-8 is another I'm waiting on. It shouldn't be too much longer before its released hopefully.

Apart from their press release which could not be clearer.

First, let me start off by saying this has been an incredible journey. We made a commitment that 2016 would be the year of the 717, and so it shall be. Before I announce the all important date and time, there’s something I’d like to share.

The release for us isn’t the end of the journey. It is a start, in a way. We believe the product we’re going to release will be thorough and enjoyable. That said, like any other product, especially the first release, it will not be perfect. We have developed technology to deliver updates that are smaller, quicker, and easier than they are for any comparable product. There are many things we intend to expand and improve in time. These updates will be provided frequently and free of charge to all customers, naturally, potentially excluding something like support for a new simulator platform or an entirely new expansion to the product.
