December 20, 20169 yr Hi there, XP11 beta 3 here. The night sky is way darker than XP10, and I can see no stars at all. Are you also experiencing the same? Safe landings! i7-6700K 4.0Ghz, 32GB RAM, GTX1070 8GB (X-Plane 11, X-Plane 10) i7-2630QM 2.0Ghz, 12GB RAM, GTX560M 3GB (X-Plane 9, FSX, FS2004)
December 20, 20169 yr Yes, moon and stars are AWOL in all betas so far. Turn off HDR and they show up. The very least priority for LR, unfortunately for the aesthetically inclined customer. Hans
December 21, 20169 yr Author Got it, thanks. I really hope LR will address that with HDR on. Night start navigation is still old school flying as well. Here some illustrative shots. April 20, 20179 yr I wonder if a simple lua script could be written to bump the intensity of the stars/moon? Is there a dataref for it?
April 20, 20179 yr At first, I found it odd that people were reporting that the sun, moon and stars weren't present, so I hearkened back to my recent flights, with HDR on, and I indeed had a bright sun, bright moon and stars (even planets, or maybe just really bright stars). Yes, there are three datarefs (art controls) you can play with: stars/gain_hdr moon/gain_hdr moon/glow_hdr "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
