January 31, 20179 yr Hi all! I love the 737 NGX but I really should want some more fps. I already use the low res model and textures and have the autogen turned down to sparse. Maybe one of you have some tips to get it running with a couple more fps?? Thanks!
January 31, 20179 yr Hi Ray, First, please add your full name to your posts as per forum rules. Regarding your question, it would really help the folks around here to know what kind of system you are running, which simulator, etc. Without any of that information it becomes hard to come up with any advise. January 31, 20179 yr What are your current FPS (locked) at? Using FSX or P3D (which version)? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
February 1, 20179 yr You've already followed all of the recommendations in the PMDG Introduction manual? If not, you need to start there; also, find out what programs are running in the background (try Alt-Control-Del to bring up the Task Manager). But, yes, more info on your CPU etc. Doug Pelton "What is the answer to life? Knowing the questions to ask." February 12, 20179 yr Author Thanks all! My specs are: AMD Phenom X4 955 OC 3,84Ghz Radeon R200 / HD7900 3Gb 8Gb Ram ddr3 HDD 1,5 TB 5200rpm My addons: Orbx global, vector, openlc Flytampa Amsterdam, Dubai, St. Maarten NL2000 photoscenery I have P3D and FSX. Now using FSX because P3D was stuttering like crazy. Can't solve this
February 12, 20179 yr Secret to P3D is to lock the frame rate to 20. I bet you were getting the stutters when there is an overcast. This setting eliminates that problem. Dan Downs KCRP
February 14, 20179 yr Author After the last update and some changed settings it runs a lot better. So I'm back to P3D I have fps at unlimited with vsync and triple buffering. But I will try 20fps next time. It's kinda low fps but if it's smoother then I'll go for it. Thanks!
