Hi there, I just got RC4 and am still paying with it, so I'm not in a position to make a recommendation. However, I can address a point you raised in your message. What I thought would be a hurdle in the installation process, namely waiting to receive a registration key, took exactly 10 seconds. I have done some picking of controller voices and AI Pilot voices since I got the program, and I think it sounds very good now. I declared my first emergency yesterday, and today a missed approach. It was really fun to fly with this ATC....

Ok guys,you are right. I tried RC before not RC4. I am not sure if they did anything to the voices. Maybe I should take the plunge and try again. I will download the demo and see if I change my mind.Alex

The voices on my PC do not sound like the demo video, where the voices seem to be at a slower pace.

Wow, what a long list of responses. I am sure Radar Contact is a great product. But the downloadable/not downloadable version issue I think was well covered in the other thread. The maker of Radar Contact will evaluate implementing it in the New Year. Fair enough. But just as the developer of that product can choose to distribute it as he (or she) wishes, I can choose to spend my dollars elsewhere as well.FS COMM doesn't appear to be a real ATC package... I couldn't dig up much on it other than some old threads from awhile back where a couple of folks came away unimpressed with the quality.I'm kind of surprised that more ATC add-ons haven't appeared on the scene. I'll keep Googling, hopefully something else is out there in addition to FS COMM 2004.

I'm willing to wait a couple days for a product like this.Unfortunately, we now live in a get-it-now/on-demand world, and now people (including myself) have trouble grasping the idea of not getting something immediately. I too had to think long and hard for a couple of days before I finally splurged for RC4, but after I made the decision, I realized that my resistance was a little stupid. I will treat future purchase decisions differently, and will focus more on the quality of the product, and less on the delivery method.Just my $.02 (ok so maybe more like $2.00!! hehehe)-matt

everyone has the right to their opinion, and the right to express it (within reason)it was a decision on my part not to offer downloads. some didn't like it. so be it. i said i would look into it next year. the first place had a limit of 60mb files. lol. looking elsewhere..some people like to fly online with live controllers, and think everything else is unrealistic. others disagree.bottom line - rc is available on cd, shipping anywhere in the world included in the cost, which gives superior atc coverage at every airport, at every hour of every day.wishing everyone a happy new year...jd

Here I am using FsCom. It is a great programFsCom is exactly like the wellknown Proflight 2000, only more enhanced.Not as enhanced as Rc , but with region dependent accents regarding ATC chatter.The program has evolved and is improved in many ways.Just take a look at the site :http://www.fsaddons.deAnd it is able to use speech recognition.I really like hearing German ATC chatter when flying over Germany or Italian ATC chatter when flying over Italy.The layout is also very professional.One thing : it uses the ABL adventure maker so you have to fill in the Sid/Star before starting up Fs.Workaround : start up your favorite weather progam , fill in first the name of the departure airport and see the wind direction.Do the same for the arrival airport.Now you can make a good adventure.The people behind Fscom don't do much advertising, so it is not widely known.It deserves better.Way better !
