January 6, 200620 yr Hi All,I took the plunche and bought the TrackerIR.Have flown for an hour now and it is really cool!Especially I like the zoom in/out when you move forwards/backwardsSince I also have a few racing sims and FPShooters I wonder how they will be with the Tracker. It will take a while before I have fine tuned everything, but so far so good. Thanks for the advices Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
January 6, 200620 yr Just got mine today as well. Very Very COOL. Had it up and running FS in about 5 minutes. The profile that comes with the package is very good right out of the box. I highly recommend to any avid FS user.Dave :-walksmile

January 9, 200620 yr I have a GoFlight radio stack and a PFC twin power quad that...realistically, is positioned well off to the right so I would have far too much normal head movement.I don't mind panning with a rocker switch. That way, the pan ONLY occurs when I want it to.But certainly, LOTS of people like it.Regards,Jim
January 10, 200620 yr just got mine in tonight, wow it is great! flying the C172 with this thing is AWESOME, you just have to center it at the beginning of the flight so you can move around in your chair the right amount. But I just mapped the center and pause buttons to joystick buttons, no prob at all, in fact I can tune the radios without even pausing, this thing rocks!!! makes flying the pattern that much easier!now I just have to put up with the high wing in pattern turns which is always a pain in the butt, it's like rock the plane to the right, look at the left window, okay go back into your turn, rock the plane again, look out again, now go back into the turn, just like the real world!
January 10, 200620 yr great!reading all these reviews and here i am waiting patiently!;( I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
January 10, 200620 yr HelloGlad you are enjoying it, there is no going back once you have used one of these.
January 10, 200620 yr yeah I am still playing around with the settings, but so far so good! I don't really understand the curve settings, so I need to figure out what that all means.. The only thing I find is that I need to start the flight leaned slightly forward, then hit the re-center button, then when I lean back in my seat to my normal seating position I can see more of the guages. If I am already sitting back in my seat and hit the recenter button, I can't really see the guages because it puts me up too far forward, then in order to move backwards more I must move my actual chair back which I don't want to do..

I've been logging more combat time since I got this thing then I have all year. :-).
January 10, 200620 yr I replied to your post in the other TrackIR thread, but ... I wanted to explain the curve thing a bit.Imagine the lateral display in the curve settings as your lateral movement ( left to right ) track. The center of the track is the center part ( resting place for your head, if you will ) of your lateral movement. If you move the center down but the rest stays up, it'll dull the movement... If you put it all the way down, it'll be a almost a null zone. If you kept the middle normal and raised the outside, it would be the same movement for the first few degrees of movement to the right or left, but once you got to the outside part of the 'track', it would increase the sensitivity. This works the same way for each axis. There's 6 of them.Anyhow, that's kinda weird wording I know, but I hope it cleared anything up.
January 10, 200620 yr >Hi all,>>Lately I see a lot of postings/videos about TrackerIR4.>Is it really that good? >I'm considering to buy but I'm a bit reluctant mainly because>of the price (appr. 175-200 Euro in NL)>Is it more suitable for GA or also for the heavy jets?>Does it impact on the framerates?>How sensitive is it to head movements, or is there some kind>of null-zone?>>>Yes it's that good.I fly mostly heavies, and I use it every flight. I fly the PMDG 737NG, the PMDG 747-400, and the Level-D Simulations 767-300. I absolutely love them all. Of course I fly quite a bit of GA as well, but mostly heavies. It has no impact on frame rates. The software uses like .5% of processor time or less.It can be sensitive to head movements or not... it's 100% configurable, you can curve the sensitivies as you see fit, read my post above.

Visual problems with aircraft type are part of the real world also, I wouldn't like it if the FS didn't dupicate the problems along with the fun. Then it would be a game and not a sim..
