April 10, 20179 yr Is the EADT still far more advanced? I actually like the default XP11 FMS, and it seems you can't use it in the EADT version? April 10, 20179 yr Have you tried XFMC? It's free and it'll work for the 737 as well as a great many other aircraft. I've used it in the FFA350 too, but unfortunately, it killed my eyes because of the fixed size and I couldn't resize it. April 10, 20179 yr Author Actually I had that problem too... I did use the XFMC for the ddenn CL30 but I didn't like how it took over my aircraft. April 10, 20179 yr Commercial Member With the 737 mod by zibo, the default 737 is pretty close. Even the map is now readable. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
April 10, 20179 yr Author Where can I get the mod? I mean dumb question - maybe at the org? Ok so yeah I found it. I don't quite understand the readme. Simply download the complete package (the whole "B737-800X" folder) and install it as a separate aircraft. Later, you can download the smaller updates he releases very frequently. April 10, 20179 yr Author Ok, so basically I copied the LR version into the root aircraft folder, then I renamed per his instructions. Then I copied his airplane mod files into the renamed folder. Sound correct? Yeah so I got it.... wow! You just download from his Google Drive the complete aircraft. It's the folder "B737-800X". Right-click on it and select "download". Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
April 10, 20179 yr Author Oh well thanks. Had to go to work but I'll check it out later. Looks like the FMS is way more realistic? The default FMS is the core and used for entering routes etc. but Zibo added a lot of stuff on top of it, to make it LOOK more 737 like. I don't think it has a real effect on anything, but it adds immersion to pretend it had. So in regards of the FMS, the EADT x737 WITH the paid 737 FMC is more complete, but if you just compare the base EADT x737 WITHOUT paid FMS and Zibo mod 737, Zibo's version can definitely compete. It is a fun interim 737 until the IXEG is updated. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir

The big selling point of the EADT 738 is that you can install the paid FMC, which is more comprehensive and more Boeing-esque than X-Plane 11's default FMC. But one can fly very nicely with the Zibo-modded default plane. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
