carenado phenom 300 with GTN 750

Recommended Posts

Bert, your GTN and Autopilot mods are outstanding! Thanks a lot. Of course, I am fully aware that they do not represent the real world solution, but they make the flight experience with this Phenom so much better!

I am happy you like the mods...  I also really like flying the Phenom with the GTN 750 in the panel  :smile:

Flight1 just released F1 GTN V1.13

If your Phenom does not show the proper PFD CDI sensitivity, with my mods and GTN V1.13 installed, do this:

1. Open the panel.gtn folder

2. Open the EMB505_G1000 folder

3. Open the two G1000_PFDEMBP300V4.xml, and ..V4VC.xml files with Notepad

4. Search for "GPSDEV"

5. Change macrovalue to:

<MacroValue>(A:HSI CDI needle, number) 1.6 / </MacroValue>

6. Save, and go fly

.. or ask me for the GTN mod V4 update.

Has anyone figured a way to dim the left side of the MFD where the engine info is located? For me the brightness control on the PFD menu has no affect on the MFD (in the vc, not pop ups).

(Stupid question)

If i install GTN750 at Penom300 (P3D version) then how about FPS?

I don't like navigraph extention 1.2 because too much have an error.

So i'm consider buy a GTN750.

(+1 Question)

How much difficult install at Penom300?

It's easy or hard work? (What is vert mods? Just adjust .cfg file?)

Thanks for read and sorry for my bad english.

There is but is it worth the effort to you. File you need is "G1000_configEMBP200.spb" inside the archive "EMB505_G1000.CAB". First you have to unarchive the CAB file into a directory, then convert "G1000_configEMBP200.spb" into an XML file ("G1000_configEMBP200.xml") using "spb2xml.exe". After jumping thru all those hoops you can finally edit that xml file.

Look under "Brightness Settings" for how to adjust the PFD and MFD. Plenty of other things to fool around with inside that file. Just make a backup before changing anything.

spb2xml.exe is available on the WWW.

Yes, I believe it does.

Has anyone figured a way to dim the left side of the MFD where the engine info is located? For me the brightness control on the PFD menu has no affect on the MFD (in the vc, not pop ups).

Here is how:

1. Open the panel folder

2. Open the EMB505_G1000 folder

3. Open the GTNMFD.xml file with Notepad

4. Scroll to the bottom of the file and insert an Element section, as follows:

 </Element> </Element> </Element>

<Element id="Bright 61-70">

          <FloatPosition>0.000,0.000</FloatPosition>

            <Rectangle id="Rectangle">

            <Bright>true</Bright>

            <Width>274</Width>

            <Height>759</Height>

            <FillColor>black</FillColor>

            <Transparency>0.700</Transparency>

          </Rectangle>

        </Element>

</SimGauge.Gauge>

</SimBase.Document>

5. Save the file and go fly

6. You can adjust the transparency setting to suit

What's wrong?

How can i do?

Can you inform link how to inatall or merge?

Sorry for my bad english and thank you read.

Installing the GTN into the 3d (VC) panel is not something you can do... Only the original developer can modify the 3d panel.

Do you like it better this way?

Hi Bert,

I love the mod overall.   The brightness tweak adds just that extra touch of blending into the back screen for me.
