Chaseplane and TrackIR

Featured Replies

Not a CP user, but 2 things that should be done in TIR is renaming the 2 simconnect.manifest files (e.g. add '.off') and ensure you keep the TIR  'Game Updates' up-to-date, especially on a re-install of TIR.

Normally, I have always installed TrackIR outside the Program Files folders and directly to C:/Natural Point/TrackIR folder

However, when starting up the install of TrackIR, I get a User Account warning message at a Microsoft site.

Is there any reason I should do this install into the Program Files Folders to get TrackIR to work with ChasePlane?

Tutorial that explains it all, very simple:

My problem is similar to the others, TrackIR and CP seem to interfere with each other with certain A/C. Screen appears to zoom in slowly and zoom back out instantly

As per suggestions, I have reinstalled TrackIR as per your video and also reinstalled ChasePlane. Both of these apps ended up in the Program Files (x86) folder

 I gave both exe’s Admin Rights, etc……and I am running P3D v4.4.

When I load and run the following A/C, TrackIR/CP works properly:

- PMDG 747-8

- RealAir Lancair Legacy 2

- F-16 (default A/C)

- A2A Piper PA-24-250 Comanche

However, the following A/C exhibit the zoom interference issue:

- RealAir Beach Duke Turbine V2

- A2A Cessna 182

Note - I didn't try all the aircraft.

I don’t know why this happens, any ideas?

This morning I did a fresh boot up of my flight sim PC and started ChasePlane and P3D. However, this time without starting up TrackIR.

I found that the aircraft in the thread above behaved exactly the same way............it appears Chase Plane still interferes with the RealAir Duke Turbine and the A2A Cessna 182.

Screen appears to zoom in slowly and zoom back out instantly

TrackIR is not involved with this issue?

In an attempt to resolve this issue, and make sure my Camera.cfg file is not corrupted, I used the advice of the pinned video topic "How to Reset Your Camers.cfg file."

Unfortunately, this did not fix the issue?

Any ideas?

Well Bill, would you kindly share your solution with us? It may be of some help to those still having issues.

DaveCT2003,

A few days ago a friend came over to help me with a few sim things and he looked at my ChasePlane configuration and made some changes, but then he went in and turned off all my "Motion Effects" sliders. I didn't know they were enabled, and I didn't object, as I only care about the various camera views and not these special motion effects. I generally like to keep things simple as this hobby is already complicated enough as it is!

I would like to say that this is what fixed my issue, but I can't say for sure, as I don'e know exactly what he did prior to turning off these effects?

Sorry I can't give you a better answer, but it did fix my issue.
