Virtual CDU

Featured Replies

Hello Vaughan.

I took a quick photo of the CDU on my iPad.

Excuse the clutter around it. The simulator is not open, therefore the "FMC TIMEOUT" message and no other data.

Other than the small icons on the top with the time of day, battery charge (important!) and connectivity, the CDU cover the entire screen.

Maybe it is an issue of the type of tablet the user has.

Regards,

Roberto

Does it work on an Android Tablet in full screen display?

Yes.  It works in Chrome though there's apparently not a way to display it in full screen à la Internet Explorer after pressing F11.  So you do see the address bar and tabs.  So I tried a full screen browser app titled...wait for it...Fullscreen Browser, available for free on Google Play Store.  I loaded it on my Galaxy Tab S2 and it works just fine!

Who would've thunk!

"There is an app for that"

Well done, David!

Those are the tablet's logo on top, and on the bottom from left to right, the Recents, Home, and Back keys.  They're outside the display and not going anywhere...

Thanks for the follow up .. I have an Insignia Tablet and its layout is different.

I may try the Full Screen App you mentioned.

Hi All,

first of all, let me say thank you to the community for helping out! It's great to see those tablets running Remote CDU :-)

Vaughan, here is a screenshot of how the app looks like on my 2012 Nexus 7 tablet. This is what I get after adding it to the homescreen:

So yes, there is a narrow border on the top with the standard Android status bar as well as the soft keys on the bottom.

I have read all the messages in this topic and thank you for the feedback. - and to the user requesting sounds - standby for the next release shortly! :-)

Best Regards

Ok,

So now I know my Tablet setup is correct when using your Remote CDU.

All good full screen.

Thanks for the follow up and screenshot.

Virtual Avionics CDU (for 737) many problems dropping the connection / many Network disconnects to my Android Tablet.
Did a lot of troubleshooting via e-mail with developer.
No solution.

I purchased the Remote CDU ... not one problem. All ok with my setup Win7-64 and tablet.

I have the same problem with Virtual Avionics. I am getting tired of it. I think I may try Remote CDU as well.
