Hi all,

Recently I started having an issue where some buildings in my default scenery are showing up completely black and others are not showing up except  for the roof. It's not a deal breaker but it is extremely annoying when I am on final approach to Miami or DC or any number of other cities and I see these big black cubes or no building but a floating roof. Ultimately I intend to transition over to V4 as soon as I build my new computer this fall but in the interim I would like to fix what I currently have going on. Any suggestions, files, ideas? Much appreciated. Be well

Are you on FSX box or FSX-SE?

Since it had been working properly then suddenly started displaying the symptoms you're describing, something has changed either in your settings, system or elsewhere.

What have you changed recently? New addon installed, new video drives, FSX.cfg tweaks?

Are you using the DX10 Preview mode?

Agree.  Did you try the settings in the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide (see link to guide in my signature)?  Make sure ground scenery shadows are not enabled (under Scenery Tab settings).  Miami is a tough area for scenery.  I have a very powerful computer (see specs) and I see black buildings but the images are rendering very fast.  I use Miami X scenery (payware).

Best regards,

Jim
