Still,>if PSS can fix it I'll seriously consider purchasing the bird.Premise: I do not own PSS 777, so I'm talking in general. Not so long ago, here on the forums, someone said that the creator of the flight dynamics for the PMDG744, had to allegedly modify it to make the a/c's less sensitive, since using the "real" aerodynamic data would have made the a/c's way too sensitive and maneuverable, and the users would have marked it as a lack of realism, and complained.Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
February 28, 200620 yr In my case its not the sensitivity, but the way the movement of the stick does feel proportional. I fly alot of fighters that take VERY little movement and the plane rolls 2 or 3x. But you learn and adjust your stick movements.I can handle sensetivity or even tone it down via settings.Maybe I need to take out all my dead zone and try flying it again. As is, I just do not have any feel on the control surfaces.
February 28, 200620 yr Thats exactly it. Its smooth and steady, responsive but not crazy, until you hit a certain point (about 5-10degs as I recall) and then BAM! over it goes and you find yourself at 20deg in an instant. Thats my issue with it.
February 28, 200620 yr that's exactly what PSS had to cope with as well when they released their 747 for FS2000.They had it tested for accuracy by 747 pilots who signed it off. They then had to deal with heaps of complaints about it being inaccurate and way too responsive in the forums here and elsewhere by armchair pilots who never had come near to a 747 simulator let alone a real 747 except maybe as a passenger once or twice.
February 28, 200620 yr AGAIN . Its not that the plane is to responsive. You can learn to handle it or tone it down via settings. What your hand and stick are doing just does not jive with what the plane does.It does not take a 747 skygod or Nasa engineer to know when something just is not right.Ive never driven a indy race car but if I turned the wheel in a sim and very little happens and then bam, Im in the wall, Somethings wrong. Dont have to be a Indy driverIf you throw out 10 degrees of flaps and the plane instantly loses 50 mph, something is wrong. Do not need to be a 30 year,30 thousand hour vet to figure that out.Ive very easy going, not a rivet counter, hate a FMC and usually have very little complaints about small issues. The FM Ive learned to deal with until the patch. However, I would think of all the little nitpicking things PSS hade to deal with, you would think having the autopilot being able to maintain level would have been one of them.
February 28, 200620 yr Hello,The aircraft should "NOT" have been released in its present state!!!. This aircraft has been sitting on my hard drive since purchase. What a waste, they have my money, I have an unflyable aircraft. They "LOST" a customer on any future releases!!! February 28, 200620 yr Exactly Mike. They have my money too. And I have a hangar queen. It seems ages since I bought the wretched thing. Effectively I've written it off, and I'm not sure if I'll even bother to download it again when they finally get around to releasing the 'patch'. What's most annoying is that I got stung before with the A340. Ian
February 28, 200620 yr The PSS 777 is awesome. I have absolutely NO problems with it. The panel is the greatest panel I have ever seen. The FMC is one of the best flight management systems I have used too. Great sounds. Like me, there are several people who like a product and several who absolutely hate a product. You definitely will not be dissatisfied with this product. It's a lot cheaper than similar products too. Get it!Jim Young
February 28, 200620 yr I ended up with the Justflight version and that one comes with a fully printed manual.. I agree that it does have its hangups, but has the potential to be very good.. My framerates really take a dive with this one and when you compare it to the PMDG 747 and Level D 767 there really is no comparison!

February 28, 200620 yr I'll just add my few pennies because I can. And I do respect everyone's opinion. Like every piece of software, paid or free, someone has issues .. very unfortunately ... with something. Maybe it's my "vanilla" off the shelf simple Dell PC .. thankfully everything runs right from the install WISH IT WERE THE SAME FOR EVERYONE, really.A quote I use often here is, "You can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time."Truth I believe, and certainly with the PSS T7.I for one am very happy with my purchase and have used it many hours for long distance flights ... I'm not a pilot, but I do appreciate details, details and more details ... and while this is not PMDG or LDS .. it is very nicely done piece of software. I expecially like the build in weather radar ... really nice feature ... but there are thing missing which should be there ... a fully working FIX page for instance... and lots of small things. Are there things to fix ... I guess so, but as it is ... I have had many hours of excellent flights, primarily with the -200.Cheers,Paul BenoitKSAN

March 1, 200620 yr Most realistic 777 around period if you are into systems. Visual model for me still goes to Meljet. Flight model, well I have never flown a real 777 but I havent killed anyboby yet on this one. Not quite as smooth as th3 Level D 767, but then again what is. Level D is the best "767". The triple 7, different bird, not a fair comparison.

If you think that one's nice, try the Majestic bird, what a sweetheart. Takes some getting used to especially the throttles (it soaks up the bottom with reverse) but once you are used to it that is a nice plane to fly.sorry didn't mean to try and hijack the thread, but I too found the 777 to be a nice plane so far, though I've only flown it a couple of times.
