Yep, had that problem too, thanks for working it out. Anyway, thanks to the designer team, I just took a flight last night, remembering my past hike on Teide. It is really, really great, thanks so much!Cheers,-dasher7

OK GUYS... here is some feedback from CanarySim.I'm Luis O Bethencourt, the responsible of the scenery managerprogramming (among other things) .....Well.. I just watched this last topic about the modificationsinto the scenery.cfg file and I wanted to explain why we didboth the entry at the remote section instead of the local one,,and the required issue...REMOTE=XXXXXXXXXXXXX WE FOUND OUT,,, the system improved A LOT its performance by using REMOTE folders adressing instead of LOCAL ones. A LOTOF system hangouts, due to memory lacks were detected using thatconfiguration suggested (the LOCAL,, instead of remote). The REQUIRED "issue" ... we did that cause we didn't wantedusers to modify our settings via the windows scenery library..We in fact wanted it to be done from the scenery manager itself.Now.. if you've changed all that staff, the scenery manger willbecome totally UN-USEFUL for all you guys and worse.. the uninstall). Now you've turned into that part of "use it at your own risk". Deinstall will become harder to perform under those circunstances..but.. if you decide.. you take the risks. I won't offer supportfor problems related with handy tricks into the scenery managerfiles or the scenery structure. On the other side,, just take a look into your FS9CANARYSIMDATAHW directories. Inside of it.. you'll find a backup fileof your original HALO.BMP file. The halo BMP we added was muchbetter (for Canary Islands lights) than the one provided originally by microsoft.. so we added that one,, which looksmuch better.. I OUR HONEST OPINION.The LOD/MESH VALUES issue...Ok.. ok.... Yes.. we should have let you guys to be able to changeit back to 19..AND NOW... the most talked subject under discussion..MANUAL INSTALLERS Vs AUTOMATIC INSTALLERS.Normally, with small sceneries.. or non complex as theproject canarias one,, you can simply add the sceneryinto your library.. of course.. I do the same!... butI tell you that EVEN YOU would have given up with this scenerymanual install. WHY??? SIMPLY BECAUSE OF ONE REASON:The originai base package contains about 9000 textures filesall of them with the standard MSFS coordinates format followedby the "su" suffix (su Means summer..)OK... do you want a manual install?? OK.. i'll package itto you very nicely.. BUT... BUT.. :You will have to MANUALLY change each one of these su texturesnames.. and change their last suffix.. su ,, to sp, fa, wi, hw, and LM... so.. I guess you'll just have to create about45000 files manually.. I guess for all you guys who loveMANUAL INSTALL.. would be the EXTASIS XDXD let me laugh..cause you many times say I HATE INSTALLERS,, but please understand that if we decided to do it so.. was because of acertain REASON???NOW.. I WANT ALL OF YOU GUYS who want a manual install.. togive me your emails.. I'll tell ya where you can download thepackage. (the base one.,, in zip format). And apart of that.. Id like to thank all encouragin' wordsabout the scenery. Was hard to create. WAS HARDER TO RELEASE IT FOR FREE.Greetings, Luis.

Im still installing, but this is top notch! I love this animated installer, with audio, video, everything imaginable! I dont think even FS installers are this cool, and I always enjoyed installing FS2000!!! :D

Ok Ok I give in on the auto installer issue but is it possible to change the install path as I keep all my mesh scenery on a separate disc from my FS9 installation? I'm away from home at present and haven't got around to attempting an installion yet.Bruceb

Hello Luis,Thank you and the team for the absolute stunning scenery.Could you kindly post correct scenery.cfg entry as some people (myself) may have altered them due to remote/local issue. I recall some parts were local and some remote...Best Rgs Perttu

Can other scenery benefit from this?
