Thank you, Pete, for all your tips, help, etc. Had a flawless reverse flight LOWI-EGCC, using MT6, ASP4, heavy clouds descending past the Wash into  UK2000 EGCC, PMDG 737-800 WL. No steering issues too, as has been reported elsewhere.

Now, to try a longer flight with the QOTS v3, when time allows.

Now just had CTD sat at UK2000's EGCC v2 with the PMDG 747-400 programming the FMC. Kernelbase.dll. What on earth triggers this?

 

First we used to have the dreaded VAS CTDs. Now it's that dreaded ntdll.dll, over waypoint ALLEX down the East Coast somewhere above Brunswick killing off a long flight from EGCC. What a waste of time. Hopefully, one day we will get to know what is causing this particular CTD.

Maybe one day you can investigate and be the hero and come up with a solution.  It could be your computer, OC, a driver, P3D, or an addon to P3D.  But then, if you do come up with a solution, it won't work for anyone else.  I already provided you the solution.

Were you ever able to pin the cause of this CTD?  I've had the same issue (first flying into DCA then outbound from DCA) both with the NGX).  It seems to have come up after I updated the client and content to V 4.1 and updated to the latest FSUIPC.  Nothing else has been done since then.  I tried running ORBX again as well as creating a new .cfg file, but I did both of those when I updated so I doubt that will help.  I do OC, but this one should be stable as I used to get the ntll CTD from a bad OC but I dropped it down to 4.4 and it's been stable there for a while.  I downloaded Appcrashview so I'll see if it happens again and if it does I'll report back.

 

Also I should point out that I do use MT6.  The only time I've had issues was when flying to Hawaii I get a CTD, but that at least reports in the event viewer.  These CTD gave me nothing like in the OP.  I did disable MT6 for Hawaii flights and that seems to solve that issue there so if I get it again I'll try disabling MT6 to see if that solves it.

Hmmm... I've had two of these in the last two days.   I'm still using v4.0 because it was so stable and performed so well on my system.  Sim just disappears 'like a fart in a whirlwind (Shawshank Redemption reference)' - no message, no notification.

 

Using PMDG 737-600, ASP4/clouds, MT6, 737 immersion (which actually I just installed a week ago-hmmm).  First one was 5 minutes into starting the sim entering flight plan into FMC at FSDT KCLT.  Second one was two hours into flight on approach to FSDT KSDF - had just contacted default ATC for permission to land.

In another topic Rick stated he disabled MyTrafficMil.bgl in the MyTraffic folder as I had suggested several times and that fixed the problem for him.  It is a known fix for the ntdll.dll (as stated in the AVSIM CTD Guide).

That was one of the first things I did.  I haven't had a CTD since even with MT enabled but haven't done too much flying.

You do not need to disable the whole AI program.  Just go into the MyTraffic folder and disable mytrafficmil.bgl by renaming to mytrafficmil.bgl.off.
