April 5, 200620 yr Does anyone know if this Flight1 product that was created for FS2000/F2002 ever updated for FS9? I checked their site and could not find anything on updates for this product. Thanks!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
April 5, 200620 yr Commercial Member There's an unofficial patch produced by a gentleman called Peter McCleland.Somewhere in here is what you need.......http://www.petermcleland.com/logbook_001.htmDreamfleet Project ManagerGreatest Airliners - DC-8Greatest Airliners - 727 Whisperjethttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
April 5, 200620 yr I advise caution. Many, including myself, have had FS9 crashes with DF and the patch installed.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
April 5, 200620 yr I've used the McLeland patch for the Dreamfleet 737 on my last three computers without any problems. One thing to point out... you do need to follow Peter's instructions to the letter for it to work properly and install to a FS9 installation with working registry entries. April 5, 200620 yr Did all of the above and still crashed. Too bad, it is still the best 737 panel ever produced.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
April 5, 200620 yr Hi Lee,Yeah it is a beauty and stands up after all this time. There must be some clash of modules or other software causing your problem. Do you have a registered version of FSUIPC? I've never tried doing it without the registered version before... maybe that would make a difference. Also, when you did try it were you able to open the FMC standalone (with FS9 off)? There are so many things that could happen it is hard to track down and since this is not a supported program for FS9. Let's just hope all that work done on the 737-200 will see the light of day with FSX. April 5, 200620 yr Zane,I did try all those remedies, and I do have a registered FSUIPC. I think you hit the nail on the head about conflicting dll files. There are so many dlls installed now in FS9 with all the payware product I've purchased that it's possible there's a conflict somewhere. I don't want to start un-assembling products like PMDG and Level D and others to search for the conflicts.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
April 5, 200620 yr Hi Paul,I tried the website, but there doesn't appear to be anything related to a patch for the 737 unless I am missing something. Can you be more specific? Thanks for your help!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

April 5, 200620 yr With Peter's merge it is still one of my favorites. There are a number of liveries that are applicable.Kind of like having a clsssic in the garage IMHO.As someone said, do follow Peter's instructions with care.Good luck:RTH
April 6, 200620 yr Did not know there was a patch for FS9. I still fly FS2002 on occasion just for this plane.
April 6, 200620 yr Wow, I didn't know there was a patch either. I'll try this, I hope it works. I really like this package.
April 6, 200620 yr "it is still the best 737 panel ever produced"So nice to hear that, Lee, much appreciated, but I think it has been bettered these days.Afterall, it was produced.... oh gosh, even I forget when, and I was the designer of it! :-lolWas it 2001? Yeah, that's it! We released it right near the end of FS2000, and just before FS2002 came out, July of 2001, almost 5 years ago. Also, thanks to Peter McLeland, who is a retired RAF fighter pilot and BA airline captain for doing the "merge" and allowing it to live on. :-)Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
April 7, 200620 yr Author I have read many times the published decision not to port this airplane into FS9 world. It's done and decided. Clear.Since imagination is free and unrestricted, imagine what it would be like to have Dreamfleet release an updated B737-400 for FS9/FSX. In the PC based flight sim world, the DF737 is legendary. It's one of those products that set a standard to match. Another product with the same credentials is the PIC767. Level-D made imagination into reality by updating it to FS9. I recall the feeling when I read the news that it was going to be released. I imagine that most, if not all would have the same reaction to an updated DF734. Can you imagine? I ask those reading this post, tell me, what should be different in a new DF734? Much? Compare what, in 2001, DF offered in terms of simulating piloting a 734 with what other products offer today. Differences? Isn't imagination great?Regards,Dave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
April 7, 200620 yr Well Dave, while I appreciate your most-kind comments / thoughts, and would LOVE to do another 737-300/400/500, let's face some facts:The 737 is overdone for FS these days. We have Feel There, Ariane, PMDG all doing them (regardless of what model). Then we have all the freeware products to boot. Now, if you want an idea of what a DF737 for FS9/FSX might be like, and what would be invloved for us to do another one, just take a look at the Flight 1 ATR. Afterall, we designed it! ;-)Yeah, aside from everything else we put in the cockpit of the ATR, we'd still have to put that flushing toilet back in the lav, and the sign board at the entrance door that allows you to customize the names of the captain and first officer on it! It would certainly be a "tour de force", one that would make our first 737 look like a Piper Cub. Even the DF727 did not go as far as we would take another 737, and the 727 was quite a massive undertaking development-wise.Right now, if you want a nice, classic 737, get the one from Feel There. They continue to improve it, and Victor and team over there are really trying, and IMHO, have done a very nice job for the money.Only those who expect 100% the real thing for the small sum of money they are asking for it have anything to complain about. ;-)Now, can I interest you in a DF DC-8? :-)Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
