April 17, 200620 yr This sounds so cool! I can't wait to give it a try. Thank you again for doing this!KP
April 17, 200620 yr Author Hi,My 1963 version is on track for a release in the next few weeks. Most of it is done; just a few things to iron out and spiff up. It's gone into alpha testing at this point. It will also feature Jim's great curved AI approaches to runway 13; my propliner/early jet traffic works great with it. I will be releasing new versions of the traffic coded to land at VHHX instead of VHHH (and XDEN (Stapleton) instead of KDEN (DIA)).While the IGS for runway 13 wasn't installed until 1974, I have decided to leave it in my scenery for those who want to use it. You should use the NDB (VOR?) approach in reality, though. Curved approach lights will help you, along with the park/stadium in the curved path.I hope that Holger will allow me to include his Mesh scenery as well, with credit in the text file?Switching from 1963 to modern times will be as simple as inactivating and activating two scenery layers (each) in the Scenery Library and restarting FS.Take care,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

April 18, 200620 yr As another Kai Tak enthusiast and very big thanks to Tom, Jim, Mark and others involved in bringing this airport back to life.Jim,From your post I assume you will release without the curved approach lights mentioned in Mark's post. If this is correct please consider adding them in an update, they are really important IMHO as Mark says.Again many thanks for doing this guys, look forward to the releases.
April 18, 200620 yr Author Hi,I just sent the source files to Jim for some curved approach lights; I would be surprised if you don't see them in there... :)Take care,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
