January 17, 20188 yr Just noticed that the brake temp indicated in the status page seems to stay at 0, even immediately after a #2 autobrake landing. Just wondering if the brake temp is modeled in the current version of the 737. Joe Nightingale IT Mystical Guru

Just wondering if the brake temp is modeled in the current version of the 737. The NGX hasn't gotten the updated ground contact model that the 744 and 777s have, but temp is modeled. The issue is that Autobrake is tuned for certain decel rates in the real plane. Our plane matches this, but the sim's friction model is set so high that simply having the plane on the ground provides quite a lot of decel force (even without applying the brakes). As such, with less brake used, less heat accumulates versus the real plane. Definitely modeled, though. It'll be updated to the new standard in the future. Kyle Rodgers

The word update associated with NGX is indeed good to hear. I have more hours in that plane then any. Vic green

I suspect the fix awaits the major update due at some time in the seemingly far away future. There is a pretty substantial todo list on the NGX, there is no reason to believe only one will be pushed out as an update. Dan Downs KCRP
January 17, 20188 yr This was already a problem in the fsx version. Only temps when using max autobrake jordi van der meer
January 18, 20188 yr Nice explanation Kyle, you always seem to be on the ball for support . I wish i can say the same for a pile of other developers, by the way are you going to Vegas conference? Louis Massicotte Caroline Alberta
