Have you been able to program the STARR and destination runway? I can't seem to be able to do this after several attempts. May be a bug as several people on the Feelthere forums have the same problem. Without this vnav is useless for descent and I can't even input the ILS/course into the FMC only in the radio. Also had trouble with glideslope capture and the autopilot in general is a bit buggy. Well here we go again waiting for a patch. Sometimes I really wonder who is beta testing these addons that can't find all the obvious faults. Shame, because the model is starting to grow on me. I just flew the Continental livery and it looked awesome on the replay of my landing in Anchorage PANC. I also did a flight on the PSS T7 for JGA Europe the virtual airline I am a part of and that flight was perfect. The PSS performs better in Europe than the US for some reason but I used Fair weather so got like 27FPS avg.In the US I get 22fps avg. Feeltheres I average 44 in the US,probably would be even higher in Europe.Regards, Carlos

Thick cloud layers are fps killers in and of themselves - personally I get the same performance with the PSS T7, wxr on, as I do with the 744 or 767. I am always amazed by that and at times miss it on those birds. It's becoming more and more common now though - probably more wxrs coming in future.edit - I should mention I fly only vc on all of them my fps tuning for the PSS displays are 9, 6 and 6 outboard to inboard (I think that puts the nd at 6)- perfectly acceptable to me but perhaps not to others. They can all go up to I think 18 if you got the power.regards,Markhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1024mb/X700pro256

On my rig the both the PMDG744 and LDS763 perform better than the PSST7 from the VC. Clouds sure do kill frames but I have noticed that the video card has a big influence on being able to fly with a lot of clouds when the aircraft is not so heavy cpu wise (cpu limitation). Really resource intensive aircraft like the ones above tax the cpu which doesn't allow it to feed the video card and performance suffers with a lot of visuals. I found this out when I upgraded my video card to 7900GTX from 6600 (Nvidea). As a comparison I can fiil up the sky with clouds and fly 50-60 fps on the Realair SF260 through the clouds. Same situation/aircraft with my previous 6600 20-24 fps with drops to 10 (and stuttering) when going through the clouds This is because that plane is not cpu intensive like the complex airliners. This is the reason some say their new graphics card made little differnce. In my experience it can make a huge difference if you are not already cpu limited and are being held back by the Video card. Sinse the Feelthere 777 is less resourse intensive one can fly it with a greater percentage of clouds or use Active sky with multiple cloud layers mine is set on 6. You can also do this with the default or many freeware ones. So you have to choose between really complex realistic aircraft or realistic weather. I use dual monitors and my resolution in the virtual cockpit is 2560 x 1024 so you can see how my system would need all the fps it can get wheras someone running only one monitor would not need as much horsepower and could use complex aircraft and weather together. The visuals are incredible with this setup so thats the tradeoff. I am thinking of going for a third screen and Matrox triple head to go which would be even more immersive but more resourse intensive as well.Current System:AMD 64 3700+ San Diego coreAsus A8n SLi deluxe2gigs Corsair value select memoryBFG 7900GTX OC 512mb video card2 Maxtor ATA133 hard drives (120gb,300gb)Ultra 500w power supplyPlextor 708A DVD writerThermaltake Tsunami Dream case.2 Samsung Syncmaster 19" monitors in span mode 2560 X 1024 resolution.Regards, Carlos
