Choppy - Blurries: What hardware to change?

Featured Replies

All,

I'm unable to find the analysis that states what hardware supports the graphic settings in Prepar3d. I'm looking to improve blurries (default setting) and choppy flying through clouds. CPU? Memory?

Tim

There is no answer because we don't know word not allowed about your hardware, your graphic settings and your addons you use.

Everything is about the settings. I have a 6700K OCd to 4.7. 32gb RAM and a 1080Ti. Not the latest but by no means a slouch. Were I to put all sliders to the right I would have an unbearable powerpoint slideshow. You just have to find some kind of sweet spot. I value fluidity more than anything, and everything under 30fps especially during approach makes me want to claw my eyes out, so I have quite conservative settings to achieve that.

What are your settings?

Funny, I just sold a 2x8gb 2400mhz c10 GSkill memory kit last nite on Craigslist ....hell, that reminds me, I need to take down the listing (see bay area/south bay/computer parts). You'll surely give yourself Max Headroom performance at the hardware level with a 2400mhz memory upgrade. Other than that, with proper tuning at the software level you should see smooth experience at all but the most demanding scenes with your puter.

I ditto that.  I've a 1080ti strix and a, 8700k at 5.1.

If I put dynamic lighting on I'll get a slide show.
