March 4, 20188 yr Hi, I've picked up P3D and the PMDG 777-300ER and 200LR Base Pack a couple days ago and WHENEVER I do a flight from KLAX to YSSY or vice versa, the sim ALWAYS stops working no matter what! The aircraft I used for this flight was the 300ER FYI "P3D has stopped working" When I was looking through the event viewer log section, this VCRUNTIME140.dll pops up every time I've attached crash reports found in the Event Viewer, associated with their dates (3/4/18 is latest crash I had when I attempted to fly from YSSY to KLAX) Addons I have: 1) Chaseplane 2) PMDG 737/747/777-200LR/F and 300ER 3) FS DreamTeam KLAX Scenery Things I've tried to do: 1) Reinstall EVERYTHING (doesn't work) 2) Fully Update and Reinstall the latest NVIDIA drivers (doesn't work P3D is running as administrator as usual 3/1/18 Problem signature Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: Prepar3D.exe Problem Signature 02: 4.2.21.24048 Problem Signature 03: 5a7c832c Problem Signature 04: PresentationFramework Problem Signature 05: 4.7.2633.0 Problem Signature 06: 5a4edeff Problem Signature 07: d97 Problem Signature 08: 17 Problem Signature 09: System.InvalidOperationException OS Version: 10.0.16299.2.0.0.768.101 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: ff95 Additional Information 2: ff95e8bdc950896e5979542771c5a6c3 Additional Information 3: 10ee Additional Information 4: 10ee927f0bef1a1ab444a49a0c7aa6b9 Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: 3f28bfd1e215c48dd1f9d95a85896663 (1295305350656386659) 3/4/18 Application: Prepar3D.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. March 4, 20188 yr I though I answered this once before.... maybe not. First of all, the run time module that is the faulting module is the library for VS2015 and P3D and most developers that meet SDK recommendations are using VS2015. Secondly, the c0000005 error code means unauthorized memory access and in general this means nothing other than some code was running when other code was already crashing and memory released and this creates an exception report. It tells you very little about what is actually causing the event. There is a known bug in the Capt PFD 2D popup that will cause a CTD event for some users about 3.5-4.5 hrs into a long haul flight, even if the popup was used hours earlier. This is why there is an option now in the PMDG Options menu that disables by default the Left Outboard DU, but allows those that don't experience the crash to enable it. Are you using the PFD 2D popup? Dan Downs KCRP

The one thing I do not have is Chase Plane. I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam
March 4, 20188 yr Author I also emailed Chase Plane Support ans asked them about this crash if its their software, awaiting a response from them 1 minute ago, Bluestar said: Rishi, I wish I could help you, but I'm not having this problem and I regularly fly all variants of the PMDG B777 12-15 hours without any problems. March 4, 20188 yr Ah yeah... you did have another thread and it ended after you acknowledged that Chaseplane might be the problem. I'm not sure why this second thread on same subject. Same as Wihelm, I have flown 14 hr trips in the B77X with rarely a problem... my last problem may had been the video driver. I do not and will not have Chaseplane. Dan Downs KCRP
March 21, 20188 yr I was going to say...run the flight without Chaseplane. (that would be my first suspect...) Rather than reinstalling, the first step should always be to "simplify" -- which means disabling one add-on at a time. Then attempt to replicate the crash. If the crash occurs, disable another add-on. Repeat. That's how I do it anyway. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
March 21, 20188 yr Fsdt scenery has created a lot if problems on my p3dv4... since I have uninstalled all of them via the control manager my p3d has been working fine again... maybe worth a try if its not solved yet (the thread is 3 weeks old) ,
March 25, 20188 yr I was having KERNELBASE.DLL crashes on long flights until I finally did a complete Windows 10 re install. That did the trick. I can fly 17 hours now with a 5 hour Pause at TOD and she remains completely stable. Sometimes the issue isn't P3D. Scott Kendall S Mann Still Telling Pilots Where To Go!!
