July 14, 20187 yr hi guys Coming from XPlane, I find the horizon and cockpit even seem quite bright. Even the instruments on the 777 PMDG seem a much lighter blue and orange (almost yellow) on the HSI. Is there a way to adjust this at all ?

July 14, 20187 yr Quote Brightness/Contrast/Bloom/Colouration can all be adjusted in the HDR settings. It should be that way, however there is no interaction on my system, too (only PTA helps).
July 14, 20187 yr I would try: Nvidia Control Panel Display Change resolution and look for item3 Use Nvidia Color Settings Output Dynamic Range and change it to FULL. Having this change will give you full dynamic range and nice colors (hopefully) if is not something else. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
July 14, 20187 yr Within PTA you can set the cockpit lighting to your taste along with how deep you want the shadows to be and how bright the light is. It makes a huge difference. David Murden. July 14, 20187 yr Although this may sound a bit radical and unsophisticated, try just disabling HDR. I had your same issue and spent hours adjusting HDR settings, then tried PTA, but eventually ended up just disabling HDR and I'm very satisfied. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so one size definitely does not fit all in this specific case. July 14, 20187 yr Commercial Member First adjust the Brightness/Contrast/Bloom settings in the sim. If you disire more control, try PTA, which is a great tool. REX AccuSeason Developer REX Simulations
