Hello,

Was just wondering how one would test the TCAS system on the dash 8?

The 400 was just a simple push in the middle of the TCAS dial.

For the life of me I cant seem to find any reference on how to complete the test?

TCAS in the FCOM starts at 15.10.6 and this is where you should look first.  I note in the FCOM that there isn't a TCAS test apparently.

Do you talk about the FCOM that comes with the 744? I dont think this represents the TCAS panel of the - 8?

There is no TCAS test in the -8.

We were surprised as well but this was confirmed by our tech advisors. The TCAS test apparently is done internally by the system and in case of errors it will alert the crew. There seems to be a TCAS test to the -8 maint pages in the real plane

No I was looking at the FCOM for the 747-8, and that page reference is for the -8 transponder.

Maybe I overseen it, but is the - 8 FCOM part of the Manuals? Only found one for the -400. If not, do you have a source for the FCOM? Would be interested too! Thank you 

It's in the same place as the one for the -400.
