September 25, 20187 yr Hello, Was just wondering how one would test the TCAS system on the dash 8? The 400 was just a simple push in the middle of the TCAS dial. For the life of me I cant seem to find any reference on how to complete the test? Thanks Darren Darren Palmer
September 25, 20187 yr TCAS in the FCOM starts at 15.10.6 and this is where you should look first. I note in the FCOM that there isn't a TCAS test apparently. Dan Downs KCRP

Do you talk about the FCOM that comes with the 744? I dont think this represents the TCAS panel of the - 8? September 26, 20187 yr Commercial Member There is no TCAS test in the -8. We were surprised as well but this was confirmed by our tech advisors. The TCAS test apparently is done internally by the system and in case of errors it will alert the crew. There seems to be a TCAS test to the -8 maint pages in the real plane Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com

Maybe I overseen it, but is the - 8 FCOM part of the Manuals? Only found one for the -400. If not, do you have a source for the FCOM? Would be interested too! September 27, 20187 yr It's in the same place as the one for the -400. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
