Hi! PMDG 747 Immersion maybe causes CTD. I am using Win10 P3D 4.3. Virus program in off mode. Has ChasePlane and PrecipitFX installed. CTD happens during Taxi, T / O and Approache. I use your recommended settings for the Immersion 747. My computer and all software are updated. CTD happens at different airports and under different weather conditions. I use PTA, REX Sky Force 3D and HIFI AS for P3D.

I have CTD too when I load PMDG748 after I installed immersion for PMDG747....but the error message as follow:

It happened every time when I load PMDG748(other aircraft such as pmdg777.pmdg737.PMDG744 work fine).If I uninstalled immersion for pmdg747,PMDG748 working fine  with no error..

I had a CTD yesterday and it was caused by the immersion manager according to the event viewer. I sent support off an e mail. I was actually using the 787 but the immersion manager for the 747 was open and I was in cruise and then CTD.

Yeah it’s the famous ntdll.dll but I installed mine outside the program files folder and when I start P3D and I’m not using the 747 I just make sure the immersion manager is shut down. Haven’t had another crash yet 

Same thing happening to me when running PMDG 747-8 always CTD after a few seconds. It does not seem to happen with the PMDG 747-400, 777, 737 or other addon aircrafts. Event viewer reports faulting app as Immersion Manager.exe. mmmmm

Spelling mistake

I think you're misreading the Event Viewer. Immersion Manager crashes itself but it's only a result of P3D crashing. Nothing indicates that the Manager is crashing P3D.

We are investigating the Manager's crash but from what I see so far, P3D would be the one dragging the Manager into a crash, not the other way around

Wrong, when I uninstall Immersion   P3d v4.4 works perfect no CTD,    

May have found a workaround for the Immersion Manager crashes, looking at the crash logs and from my personal experience.

I believe the default install location is C:\Program Files (x86)\OldProp Solutions Inc\, which is of course the same drive as Windows.

When I reinstalled Immersion Manager outside of the windows drive, in this case my Prepar3D drive (G:/ in this case). It works without crashes thus far.

Maybe this can help others to find a workaround to the ntdll.dll crashes!

We just published an update potentially addressing the issue you had. Let me know if you still have problems with the latest version.

You will get a notification when launching the sim about the update.

I just updated and I restarted the sim, but after I got up to cruising altitude I had no contrails. So I saved my scenario and restarted the sim again and finally I had effects. I’ll keep testing to see how it goes.

I cannot use the manager if I start P3D exit and then start it again...
