One of the very nice things about the RXP GTN is that you can "drill down" into the settings of the unit as Jean-Luc described.

I know that Mark is planning additional updates to the Lear at a future time, and I understand that when the Lear was originally released, the F1 GTN was the only one available.

I wasn't sure if the RXP GTN could be used with the Lear. I don't know enough about how the aircraft panels and graphics are configured to try doing it myself. Don't want to screw anything up!

Hi Jim,

If one of us get the RXP unit rigged up properly - we can share the "panel.cfg"...

Scott

I'll try the RXP GTN over the weekend and see if we get the same warnings...

Have you had any chance yet? I'm wondering too!

Hi Jean-Luc,

Not yet - I only get home on weekends to mess with this stuff - I'll take a look when I get in - I think Al may have gotten it working though - as per his posts in this forum... I'm curious as to how he made out silencing the TAWS alerts... I've been watching videos of this model on approach - and it seems everyone has that annoying "Don't Sink" callout - but I'm sure they're all using F1...

Scott

Just a quick question guys, if you could help me out, please.

Is selecting the GPU from the popup window (that actually makes the actual GPU model also appear) enough to switch from battery power to GPU power or is there any switch I need to manipulate in the cockpit as well?

Thank you!

No other switch needed.  Activating the GPU picture automatically provides ground power.  Just turn on the BAT and confirm you have at least 28 volts DC

I am wondering if this is the case IRL too or there actually is a switch in the cockpit that needs flipping.
