Anyone gonna pull the trigger?  May be the last graphics card you ever need for flight sim...  I just bought a 2080 Ti and it's in the return window so...

Anyone with access to a Quadro with 16/24/48GB VRAM care to measure VRAM utilization in a maxed settings/every add-on/4k (or even 3x4k) P3D config and report here?  That would help in determining whether or not there's any advantage to buying a card like this for flight simmers.

It’s official GPU prices are out of control.  $2500?? Give me a frickin break. But I guess as long as people keep throwing money away they will keep raising the prices.

The last Titan was $3000.  This is technically a price cut.

Settle down. You are not the target market for a Titan card.

Professional rendering GPU's can cost upwards of tens of thousands of dollars. The Titan is a easy ticket for Post Processing and 3-D studios that can't afford the bigger budget hardware.

Alright, Alright sorry for being angry.  I’m still recovering from my 2080ti purchase.

I bought one too.  Also bought Titan X (Pascal) when it launched so I'm used to the $1200 price point.  Now it's $2500 though and that starts to get into the territory where I have to think hard about whether that money could be better spent elsewhere.  Then again, I contemplated SLI 2080 Ti due to the rumor of "combined VRAM pool with NVLink" nonsense that was circulating prior to launch.  Now that amount of VRAM is actually available on a consumer card and around the same price as 2x 2080 Ti it starts to make sense to me...

lol

I may have to pass.

I ending up buy a new car on wife demanded in exchange for getting the Titan Pascal  😉

Getting that beast of a card may require a new house. I saw the info on that card, 24 gig VRAM tells you where things are going.

I wonder if Rob A is up for the challenge.

What the heck! Are graphics cards going to replace real estate, art, high end sports cars and gambling casinos as vehicles for money laundering? I don't buy the statement that this is for professional graphics work. Those people use Quadros. This card is just a status symbol.

There is a category of products that straddles both consumer and professional markets, known as "prosumer".  This is an example of such a product.  Traditionally, Nvidia has used the Titan brand to reach out to professional users that don't necessarily need the certified drivers/firmware of the Quadro line but have a need for performance that is typically not available via Geforce cards in professional applications.  Users in this category can save money vs. buying a Quadro and Nvidia can make a whole bunch more money than not selling them anything.

Please, tell me more about how Titan isn't useful to professionals.

🙄

If you don't want to buy one that's fine, but it's pretty clear you don't have all the facts here.

We still will not be able to totally max out P3D4.4 settings and get a solid 60 FPS with the usual add-ons.

It will take 10 X the power of this puny titan rtx to get us what us flight simmers need.

We also need to wait for CPU 's to get around 10 GHz, then there will be something to be interested in.

I'd settle for 6ghz on air for my next build 😁

Wow...amazing

I am just gonna save money for my PPL and then I get the best graphics ever from the real VC lol.

Seriously, what a card.

Kudos to whoever is ordering it for simming.

From what I can tell from this article that this card is not really suited for gaming.
