August 7, 200619 yr This may well be old news, but I've just noticed that a new ad for the FSX demo has appeared over on Gamespot's home page...Apparently the demo isn't exclusive to fileplanet? Perhaps there is a distinction between the "beta" offered at Fileplanet and the "demo" at Gamespot?http://www.gamespot.com/index.htmlIt's about a quarter of the way down on the right...
August 7, 200619 yr Still no message for the beta. Since the ad is off the fileplanet main page I would guess that they're going to start soon. Anyone know when?
August 7, 200619 yr I think What they mean is the beta .exe will self destruct (will stop working) by release date or somewhere close to that. Kind of like a time trial demo software (adobe software for example, stops working after 30 days after installed, BUT you get full features of the product in the meantime)
August 7, 200619 yr Good find!http://us.gamespot.com/promos/2006/flights...simx_csbox_tech2 days to go! Bernard
August 8, 200619 yr I hope it's tomorrow. Or would it make more sense to start the beta on the same day the demo comes out?
August 8, 200619 yr From Mike's bloghttp://blogs.msdn.com/tdragger/archive/200.../07/691853.aspx"....the near simultaneous release of the first-even Flight Simulator trial demo and the first-ever public beta."
August 8, 200619 yr its not the first ever public beta. there have been a few others, most organized by fileplanet.
August 8, 200619 yr >its not the first ever public beta. there have been a few>others, most organized by fileplanet. For Flight Simulator? :(I believe that's what the quote was saying.
August 8, 200619 yr >its not the first ever public beta. there have been a few>others, most organized by fileplanet. It's the first public beta for Microsoft FS.
