I haven't done this yet, but you should be able to just uninstall and then re-install via the REX download manager.

Cheers, Rob.

Make sure you delete the previous version.

All is good here

Anyone else getting this message?

I exclude the folder in Bitdefender and add the application in the 'Application Access' also, that's in the the Safe Files section.

you may need to do something similar in your AV/ IS

up and running ok, that was an install direct from their download file.

My problem was the zip file download from Rex was apparently corrupt for some reason -- I never got to the point of trying to run the installer.

I now have been able to redownload and install -- thanks all for the feedback.

Good news! I have been waiting for this update prior to installing P3D 4.4. Now that I have upgraded the radar, no excuse to put it off any longer.

Hold my beer, I'm going in...

I have updated P3D to V4.4 I also updated the Milviz radar and Flight 1 gtn. But even tho the Flight 1 GTN is working now i still get another popup that say we suggest using the update tool. That makes no sense as i did update and its working in the sim. Any help would be appreciated.

You only have to uninstall the P3D client. Then run the new client. This keeps all of your add-ons and settings. Works perfectly as i watched a tutorial.

I'm getting consistent CTD's with Rex Wxr-installed aircraft after updating to 4.4. Such a pain.

If you haven't already, suggest you uninstall the previous version of the Rex WX radar before installing the latest technical update 6 version.

That seemed to work for me - at least so far.

When it came out last week, I downloaded the new tech update installer, fully uninstalled the old version, and installed the new one...

And promptly got a CTD when trying to load either the Falcon 50 or Lear, which are the only two aircraft in my fleet that use the radar.

I repeated the uninstall/reinstall process a second time, and everything was fine - it has been working well ever since.

I can only assume that the first uninstall attempt did not remove all traces of the previous version - but it is all good now.

Jim and Al, thanks for the tips. I followed your instructions and was able to have a full flight yesterday with no CTDs. I guess there were just a few fragments left over, and it needed a better cleaning. I'm up and running so far!
