August 10, 200619 yr my video card is a little aging compared to the latest out there (radeon x850) but it runs FSX pretty well with EVERYTHING maxed. I am going to disable Ai traffic and everything should be smooth. so far so good, she looks great. Back to the game!
August 10, 200619 yr I've tried running it at max graphics with 1600x1200 resolution (what I currently use for FS9. I wanted to see the difference to compare) and it runs like TOTAL GARBAGE. lolIn additon, I also can't seem to get FSAA to work, I get random artifacts in the graphics at times, the self-shaowing is all screwy, and a few other issues. I have been a computer tech for some years now, so I'm at a loss as to why I would be having these issues. I know it isn't my system. Heck, I don't think I've ever had an issue with an FS product before until now. :(It is a beta though, so I'm not expecting too much (though I did expect more then this). August 10, 200619 yr Well lets just say the demo isn't making me too excited to run out and get FS X when it comes out. For what I'm seeing and how it runs, I may stick with FS9 for a little while longer. I have a feeling this demo is not going to go over well with the community. The sim runs horrible, nothing seems improved - I don't know what to say.
August 10, 200619 yr Check my first [a href=http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=54676" target="_new]Screenshot thread[/a]I had room to bump the graphics up but it kicked me out ( the demo times out and makes u start it over :( ) before I could.

The minute I do have terrain in view, it drops down to where your FPS are at, which I feel is unacceptable (unacceptable for me). That is with ALL graphics maxed in every custom category.Bump all the terrain and other stuff up and it's so long performance. Now, I wasn't expecting "stellar" performance, but I was certainly expecting better then this. I don't exactly have a low-end machine, and while my computer isn't the fastest out there, it sure as heck isn't one of the slowest either.I'm gonna mess around with the graphics and whatnot and see what I can do. :) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
August 10, 200619 yr I'm sorry, but you must not be much of a computer tech. The reason why it isn't running well is because you are turning it up to max at 1600x1200 and expecting it to run like software release 3 years ago.
August 10, 200619 yr As for me, it is a bit choppy as I crank it up some, but at "mid" level settings, I can get it to run reasonably smooth when I installed on my three year old computer.
August 10, 200619 yr Gotta say, considering it is a beta demo, I'm impressed. The textures, autogen and land details are amazing. The demo has so many bugs in it that it's hard for me to tell much else. Cranked everything WFO and WHOA!! It maxed out at 8FPS in 3d cockpit, and I'm running a VERY strong set-up. Backed it down to reasonable levels and FPS stayed where pinned (30FPS).I'm even more excited about "what's to be" with the release after running the demo.
