Demo in 2 days!

Featured Replies

What I want to know is why they are releasing the demo at 5PM (PDT). That is a very unusual time to release something on the internet. Usually it's early morning or mid day.

Well the FSX beta was taken off the founders club home page so the mail should start flowing pretty soon.

Probably due to some very complex analysis of game server download patterns. Maybe they are hoping the kids will be eating dinner before they really start pounding the server. But almost all major company news, releases, etc - come after the close of business - give the folks over night to learn and absorbe the news. Not that I think FSX is anywhere large enough to impact MS stock prices.

Not like we wont the next day anyways.:-lol

According to my Gamespot email that I just received, FSX will be released in October of 2006.Also, about the demo... is this the first time Microsoft has done this? I don't remember a demo being available in prior versions.Scott :-)

Affirmative!I'm #### looking forward to the release. It's painful knowing we have 19 hours left!James

Some people are negative by nature and they are probably dominating here since the beginning of the beta since I would doubt that they would be considered as beta testers. There is probably an acute shortage of level-headed people who offer constructive criticism on here right now because many of those people are hard at work on the beta.FS2004 had just as much criticism right after it's release. Doesn't anybody remember the flood of "Where are the BRIDGES?" posts and such. And the "Who cares about old planes, give me an Airbus" posts and the "I'm sticking with FS2002" posts.>>not most, just a very loud few who constantly bombard the>>forums with their complaints and whining.>>It may be even less than that if some of them are using>>multiple accounts to make themselves look like more than>they>>are.>>>In hindsight, it was a rather harsh thing to say.>>But as someone who is relatively new to posting in this>community, I was surprised to find such bitterness. Hmm.. I could have sworn that Gamespot FSX demo counter jumped an hour forward (13 -> 12 hours left), but the time it points to now seems to be the same time it was pointing to earlier today..Weird :/

>True there are a lot of pissy people here.Yep. It's to the point where I rarely post anymore! :-eek. How the community has changed in the past few years!
