February 13, 20197 yr Hi, I mentioned this in another thread, but I have so much additional information and time has passed that it seems like it makes more sense to start a different thread. Problem While testing the AIG AI Manager around Christmas, I discovered that I was having very few arrivals of AI traffic. At the time, I had a hybrid of UTL, AI BGLs and the GA packages from ORBX. Traffic was running great before I noticed the problem, but I'm not sure when the problem arose. Specifically, at all airports, with all airlines, with UTL traffic or BGL traffic, I would see lots of traffic on the ground (100+ depending on the airport/time), but probably 1/10 of the scheduled arrivals. I monitored traffic with the explorer in traffic toolbox, and confirmed that not only were the flights never appearing visually, they were never listed in explorer. The ones that did pop up in explorer landed without incident. Traffic settings were always at 100% in UTL and P3D with no limit in FSUIPC. I watched the sim for hours at different airports, in different regions, at different times, but the problem was always the same. Steps I have taken to find/solve the problem 1. Activated/deactivated airlines in UTL/AIG and compared. Result: Problem persists regardless of source. 2. Removed FSUIPC and tested without it installed. Result: Problem persists. 3. Re enabled the default traffic BGL. Result: Flights in BGL never show up on ground or in the air. BGL is not recognized by ACA2017. 4. I was still on 4.3. I installed 4.4 client. Result: Problem persists and default traffic BGL still not visible. 5. I installed the 4.4 content and scenery. Result: Problem persists. 6. Uninstalled UTL using the clean uninstall process outline on their forum and running CCleaner. Result: Problem still persists 7. Removed AIGAIM and every trace of it I could find in my system including all installed AIG aircraft and the bits and pieces of the program in the various P3D folders. Result: problem persists 8. Removed any bits and pieces of any other traffic I had installed (FLAI and MAIW for example). Result: Problem persists Right now the only traffic BGL I have installed are the ones from ORBX (tried with and without). They are recognized by ACA2017, but I cannot see the traffic on explorer or in the sim. I am running out of options, but I really don't want to do a full reinstall due to time constraints (I get about two 1 hour blocks for sim time on Saturdays due to having a young son). I have read a couple posts referencing "delete generated files", but I'm not sure what that does. If it will delete my scenery.cfg, can I move all of my scenery over to xml format with Addon Organizer to avoid having to reinstall all of my airport scenery? It looks like ORBX must sit in the scenery config, but I can uninstall that stuff. I don't have that much. Can anyone come up with any other ideas before I go with the nuclear option? Sorry if I missed something here. This has been a 50 day ordeal. If I had all of that time in 1 block, I would have just started from scratch by now😫 MSFS Premium Deluxe Edition; Windows 11 Pro, I9-9900k; Asus Maximus XI Hero; Asus TUF RTX3080TI; 32GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR4 3600; 2X Samsung 1TB 970EVO; NZXT Kraken X63; Seasonic Prime PX-1000, LG 48" C1 Series OLED, Honeycomb Yoke & TQ, CH Rudder Pedals, Logitech G13 Gamepad

February 14, 20197 yr I have been reading your posts everywhere and I hope you get the answers to your problem. I have had this problem for years and I use super traffic board which shows this problem in detail. I have just lived with it and pretend that arrivals are delayed for whatever reason I come up with. The one thing I can maybe offer is that when an arrival is on the screen it doesn't mean that a plane is leaving at that moment it means that it will go out that day. When there is a plane listed as arriving it does mean a actual plane can be viewed. Another observation if you are using super traffic board is do an airport compile and make runways every now and then. I don't know why but it seems to work out better after I do that.

I didn't pick anything up. There are some flights in the default traffic file throw some cautions in AIFP when validated, but there are only a few and I'm sure everyone's is just has bad - the vast majority are fine by AIFP standards. As a test, I removed the default to see if the ORBX stuff shows, and it does not. Same if I have the default only. 19 minutes ago, bosflo said: I have been reading your posts everywhere and I hope you get the answers to your problem. Thank you for wishing me well on my quest. I had Supertraffic Board for FSX, but didn't use it often. I looked into it again, but it looks like they are ending development. Either way, Explorer in Traffic Toolbox should list everything that is in the reality bubble for rough 40 sq miles. It will show everything on the ground, everything in the air and you can also set it to pick up ships and other vehicles. I just feel like the problem is unrelated to traffic, and the only other thing I can think of is to start uninstalling the scenery/aircraft that I purchased over the holidays. Aside from that, I'm really wondering what the delete generated files thingy does MSFS Premium Deluxe Edition; Windows 11 Pro, I9-9900k; Asus Maximus XI Hero; Asus TUF RTX3080TI; 32GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR4 3600; 2X Samsung 1TB 970EVO; NZXT Kraken X63; Seasonic Prime PX-1000, LG 48" C1 Series OLED, Honeycomb Yoke & TQ, CH Rudder Pedals, Logitech G13 Gamepad
February 14, 20197 yr If you haven't already, enable content error reporting (Options -> Application -> Enable Content Error Reporting) and restart P3d. Then look at the reporting file in documents\Preprar3D v4 Files. Usually when I have an issue with BGL files, this will point me in the right direction. Cheers! David Haynes

I don't see any errors with bgls; however, I do see lots of errors related to the ORBX AI aircraft. Not sure what top do with that stuff. I'll just remove them for now to see if that kicks something loose. The ones that interest me, however, are 14 and 15 (listed below). They are related to the Carenado Phenom - something I installed over the holidays. I have no idea what 16 is referring to. February 14, 20197 yr Content error reporting isn't going to show you much that's worthwhile in this case. It's clear that you've got some issues in the sim with certain traffic not showing at all when it should, but I don't think that is the prime issue that you are trying to solve. Have you used traffic explorer from the SDK to see what is going on AI wise? It can tell you what traffic bgl each aircraft is coming from and what state they are in etc. It's very helpful for troubleshooting. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

That's how I know the enroute traffic isn't injected into the reality bubble. It is also how I know that the problem isn't isolated to one bgl. Content error can be useful since it has been my experience that the thread loading the BGLs (e.g. traffic files) can stop when it finds something it doesn't like. I usually ignore the 'duplicate' messages but the two missing Carenado DLLs are interesting. Cheers! David Haynes

I think I got all the pieces, but I did it at 5am before work. It's possible I missed something. Not sure why uninstallers can't actually uninstall every file/folder and remove entries from all cfg's and xml files. In addition, it seems like with P3D, and much more than FSX, we have a serious problem with installers dropping files and entries in unexpected places - that's another issue. That LHBP scenery placed entries in the dll.xml for no good reason (as far as I am concerned). No other scenery package is listed in there, not sure why they felt it was necessary for them to do so. In addition, IO have come across installers that tell you that you must install into the root P3D folder. There is literally no consistency between installers, and it is something that needs to be addressed. Sorry to hijack my own thread. Back on topic. That may be the only solution, but as I mentioned, it would be very hard for me to get it reinstalled due to my schedule. I'm really trying to see if there is anything I can do besides that. The fact is P3D was running great until this issue popped up and aside from the lack of enroute traffic, I had a number of very nice flights over the holidays. Also, it sounds like the errors listed in the content error log are meaningless, or maybe they are not? BTW, I though there was an issue with no enroute traffic with UTL at some point. Perhaps it was UT2. Do you remember what the cause was? Also, the idea of running "delete generated files" was mentioned in the UTL forum, but I don't understand what it does and I cannot find a good explanation of what it does. Any ideas? February 18, 20197 yr Author Solved. Something was up with the scenery.cfg I got a hint from a thread on the UTL forum about no traffic above 9,000ft. It wasn't anything I could spot and the sim seemed to operate normally (aside form the lack of AI). Most of my scenery is already installed via xml, but I had a few in the cfg (mostly ORBX - not sure why they don't use the xml install method). I transferred everything to xml with the addon organizer, uninstalled all ORBX, deleted the scenery.cfg, let P3D rebuild a fresh one and reinstalled ORBX. All traffic now appears with close to 100 more aircraft in the sim at ATL during morning rush. I didn't want to resurrect this thread, but maybe this will be helpful someone down the road.
