If you have patience then wait for NG3 from PMDG. It's a shame if you buy NGX with P3D price tag and then a year later NG3 comes out.

Heck, why not just run for the goal line and get the PMDG flag ship The Queen of The Skies.?  The 747-400 isn't really any more complex to learn and is a much more advanced simulation. More for your buck. Definitely keep you busy.

@flotmangooner You need to decide if you want to fly a Boeing or an Airbus first. All the addons you listed are good but it seems Aerosoft is still having issues with the A320 in P3D 6 months after release. Don't rule out the Leonard MD-83 & 88 Maddog X and Majestic Q400, particularly if you are on a budget the Q400 is excellent value although the documentation is not that great for beginners.
