October 1, 20196 yr MS has once announced that no subscription will be necessary. I think this will affect those who will only fly offline. But for the world they created, I'm ready to pay for it, at least a few dollars a month. MS will not give us anything for free, which MS has to pay for. I'd rather pay $ 10 for FS than Spotify.
October 1, 20196 yr Xbox pass will be required for the PC version? Does this mean for pc you will need a monthly/yearly subscription account to stream all the scenery whether you play online or not? Theres just no way that 2 Petabytes of summer only scenery data will ever fit on any current HDD! Edited October 1, 20196 yr by Kilo60 Chris Camp
October 1, 20196 yr Search google for the recent panel. Reading through The lines there isn’t going to be a subscription (at least for PC).
October 1, 20196 yr Microsoft are doing a big gaming show in London in November, and game pass and Xbox pass will be featured and the new XCloud streaming platform should be worth watching. Raymond Fry.

Xbox game pass isn't mandatory for any of their games, it's a way to have access of a library of a bunch of games (Microsoft's and other devs). Instead of buying the games, you can subscribe for the service and play the library as long as you pay for the service. And no, you won't download the 2 petabytes of data to your PC, but you can cache some portions of the world and fly offline. They said they don't want a subscription model. Why using their servers would imply having to pay for a subscription? They may have other ways to monetize the sim in mind. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
