FSX-WOW! YEEEHAAA

Recommended Posts

Guest Mr. T

Looks great! It appears as though there is a lot more for people who are not interested in flying airliners in this version by providing better looking default scenery, different types of A/C, and more stuff for folks who like to fly helicopters. Also I like the thing about having missions because it could potetially open up a new door for MSFS. Taylor

Ok the graphics look good, and they say the environment will be immersive, but I am looking for the cars, trucks and animals and I don't see any (besides birds) :-( It's also a bit of a concern there are no pictures showing the jetways, and moving baggage trucks etc.John.

Bill, with my (new) glasses I don't see anything beyond what BEV offers today as far as autogen is concerned. There may be details that I am missing - but if I have to strain my eyes to notice them - they won't definitely improve quality of my out-of-cockpit experience. What would make a huge impact - 10 times number of trees. I thought it was high time to solve this problem.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

One thing I am optimistic about. To me, as a real world pilot, the second most significant thing to me (after the weather of course) is the threat that birds pose, especially on take off and landing. If birds, and the threat they pose, are included in this version, it would be a HUGE step forward in the series!!'Course, showing a video, having textures and aicraft that already look like this, either they're going to get a LOT better in the 8-12 months we have left before release, or MS is really, really slow in bringing products to the market. I have to believe it's going to be the former myself.

HI Tom,I am not surprised at all :), Only try to explain Msfs use DVD not for nothing, there is something under the hood which cannot be really show in screenshots directly, maybe new possiblity. For sure some users with the first look will not see major difference and others yes, the key is to wait and use FSX to a full potential + 3rd party at full capability, Then we see how FSX vs fs2004 will be, in my case I am not worrie about FSX, I am sure the tradition will be like before, a new GREAT Msfs version created from the Fantastic Fs Team! Jason,I don't think it is fair that as the image techno-geek-a-zoid for the MSFS team that when you post a message here that you DON'T include an image of some kind or two or three, if no more than a signarture kind of thing. Of course, you would be resolved of your image responsibilities if you could get that oceanographic cutie to post a few messages in your place. We SO related to depths, curvatures, inclines, declines, thermoclines, shades, etc. etc. and well, you know the rest!!! :-lol

Dude, it won't be out for another YEAR, they got alot of time to add stuff."Dude", that doesn't mean I can't have opinions about things in their current state. I doubt they'll redo the graphics engine in a year. :-roll I stated a fact: If this isn't the FS9 engine with modifications, it sure looks the part. My opinion is that it's disappointing. Evidently, there's a group that thinks this is the best thing since sliced bread. If you want to debate my opinion, feel free... But I predict you'll lose. :)Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpgMember of SJU Photography. > I agree. I'm underwhelmed. I can't believe were goiong>to use up CPU cycles generating seagulls. Goats and lamas I>can understand, but seagulls?Doug,If they give you seagulls this is indication they failed to push and make progress in areas where it would really matter. I fly in real life and never ever saw a single bird from the cockpit. Yet, I see huge number of trees - ability to autogen 10 times number of trees (**or** provide equivalent visual experience) would truly change the look of the landscape. I wonder if they really improved anything with weather and visibility issues.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

Perhaps that is something they are still ironing out, and don't want to release any images that are too unpolished. Those images they did choose to share - WOW!Owen

I agree about the birds-I have had several encounters myself. One time taking off the tower called me and said you have Cranes at 11 o'clock. While I was busy looking for building cranes I saw a flock of bird cranes heading my way.I am sure this will not be the only improvement....http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg
