September 13, 20196 yr Isn't a sloped runway we see as the relief seems to indicate or is it wishful thinking on my part ? A nice overall atmospheric lighting but the reflections of the fuselage at the end of the clip are excessive. Hollywood, here I come ! The reflections are too much for me as well. It's like when I see other people's use of bloom in photos and videos of their sims - the fuselage is supposed to be reflecting not emitting light! But then the video is trying to show off the ray tracing capability, so I'll 'allow' them some leeway. Hopefully, there will be a setting to dial it down. Again, maybe it is just me, but yes the runways in this clip and in the stall clip seem too perfect to me. The beacon of the airport also is too perfect in the stall video. Don't get me wrong I know runways are sloped. But after all, the generic "look" of the runways is for me more important, as this is where you are looking during your entire approach, than a reflection being too excessive. September 13, 20196 yr Look at this for example, the lights are not perfect. The effect is maybe exaggerated but you see my point. https://nara.getarchive.net/media/an-elevated-view-of-the-runway-approach-at-dusk-with-the-landing-lights-on-ef5471

Yes but think of all these terrible screenshots, full of boom, RT, reflections and whatnots we'll see in screenshot forums. A nightmare. That's a shiny new composite air frame with a glossy gel coat...similar to a shiny new car's finish. You see the same type of reflection off cars driving down the road. Chris

I think people around here are too used to dumbed down FSims reflection effects... Those reflections on the DA-62 are pretty accurate to me. The lighting and reflections system is on par to any AAA game we have on the other genres. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

It seems that the aircraft looks as being shot in a movie, not seen by my eyes. Now, I've never seen a DA62 with that special gel coating sngcoil is refering too. So I may be wrong. 43 minutes ago, ca_metal said: he lighting and reflections system is on par to any AAA game we have on the other genres. I had the chance to glance some new DA-62 with their new shinning metal paint during a flight show.. they do glare a lot in the Sun, but again I am short sighted and my eyes perceive the light different from others (blurrier) unless I wear my correction glasses of course, when I do is like applying a SSAA x 8 anti-aliasing to my eyes hahaha. It also depends on the colour, White and Blue were way more reflective than Black and Gray from the distance in direct sun light.. at least that is how my brain appreciated it at that time.. S. September 13, 20196 yr You also have to remember the resolution of the game and the resolution of the effects. Real life is very high resolution so the point of most reflectiveness (if I can say it that way) is smaller than can be in the game. I like it. Its much better than flat dull and boring.
