Yes, excellent flight dynamics is something we all want - and have wanted forever.  But lets not take ourselves too seriously on this issue.

Unless you are type rated on a specific aircraft or are/have been a qualified pilot in the past, then most would never know what real flight dynamics feels like in any particular aircraft.

I agree that the opinion of a real-world pilot with experience on a specific aircraft should trump anything else. However, I wouldn't completely discount the experience of someone who had time in the passenger seat.

I have hundreds of hours in the air as a commercial aerial photographer, hanging my butt out the open door of a Cessna, Piper cub, or helicopters like Jet Rangers, Hughes 500's, Army Hueys, even an old Bell 47 (the M.A.S.H. helicopter).

I've never flown any of these myself, aside from a brief amount of stick time  in cruise when the pilot graciously offered it. But I sure know what it feels like, and what it looks like outside the canopy during takeoff, cruise, and landing. It's not hands-on-yoke experience, but it's not chopped liver, either. 🙂

I'm sure there are others here in Avsim with similar non-pilot experiences. It shouldn't be completely discounted when it comes to rating the subjective look and feel of a flight sim, as long as the proper allowances are made for the differences in control input, feedback, etc.

I'm thinking of doing CPU and motherboard refresh by years end. Almost want to wait to see the PC recommendations. Might be waiting awhile.

I'll be holding off. When I last looked at hardware road maps I got the feeling it would be better to hold off till maybe FS2020 was in its second or even third full year. After all, no rush. We've had FSX for 13 years now!
