Worth investing in P3D addons or wait?

Featured Replies

After what I saw so far in beautiful amazing graphics and scenery with smooth fps how can I go back to My 15fps P3D? I wont touch it anymore. And I feel absolutely not sorry for devs who Charged me ridiculous prices several times cos they had a monopoly like PMDG. And I will not buy any cheap ports for the new sim. If its not a new native FS2020 product I am not interested. Base FS2020 will keep me entertained for a very long time.

They were paid generously for their work by being able to keep the sales of their products into the new simulator.

And if you upgraded to the new simulator and wanted to use the new version of their product, then you were expected to pay just like the rest of us were.

Yeah, it'd have been nice if they'd done all that work for free, or at a discount, but they were under no obligation, legal or ethical, to do so.

You'd have a better point if they hadn't done anything at all to the product and just wanted to charge for switching to a different license. But they didn't do that - in fact if you owned a PMDG plane in FSX and then went to p3d 1-3, you didn't have to pay. You only had to pay when they had to work to put the product into a new version.

That's actually incorrect, as I am sure many of us will tell you in the next few minutes.

Keep the blue part on top...

For the gearheads: Ryzen 9800x3D | ASUS Rog Strix B650E-F | MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X | 64GB DDR5 6000Mhz RAM | NZXT Kraken x72 Cooler | EVGA 1000 PSU

All right, we're getting off-topic here.  And, as a reminder, advocacy for EULA-busting is a serious no-no here.  So don't.

So, a few steps ahead pre-alpha and thousands of post and videos later......   Is it worth investing on some addons yet?   I can tell how nice thoughs i found here in the thread, what a good time reading all opinions.   But i admit that for me, all of those were nearly useless, because i just bought another addon right now! 😂 Gee

I personally enjoy so mutch flight simulation that im tempted to look for the very sought/wanted products as well.  Dont mention the A330 ...ohh so late, but who cares!  Get it.......and even the FSLABs, ohh the wonderful CRJ upgraded, and what about PMDG?  (Not getting the NGXu was a difficult decision for me, i have them all), but yep, definitelly im not getting my cart filled as before, specially for sceneries, ive read that this development is way different in FS2020....  and i bet aircraft development too, but i hope some can be discounted(not ported, i dont have a sent of hope about porting things).

It is this feeling of loosing everything again what makes me thing:  OK, like FS2000, then 2002, FSX, then FSX Vs Xplane......and then we had the huge amount of sceneries and addons to explore(i think we missed mars, saturn and some of thos far away planets to be released as well.....  aaaaand Puffff P3D..... and now finally 64bits.......Ohh wait, Here it comes!  MSFS!!!!! 😵

Yeah, it hurts on your pocket!

Based on current game development insights, feels like 2020 is going to be a great one...   So i decided to save some bucks and continue a little step ahead to CPL instead of investing on too many addons......   Fells like more transcendental. ✌️

Ohh wait....  I need another rudder pedals  😎

Happy Flying!
