FSX Addon: Orlando International Airport

Featured Replies

If it's better than the freeware 'KBOS' I'll buy it but, is it?

Orlando installed fine on my system. I don't have any of the other modules described above, so it was a pretty clean install. It looks great and runs great. Actually better fps than default. Let's have more of these.I also got Tropical Sim's Nassau which is just for FSX. It runs well too. I still like Imaginesim's Nassau better, but that's not ready.Lee

I installed it and it worked fine for me. I'm trying to see if this is an entire Orlando area pack or just the airport area. It looks like it's just the airport to me. I think it's very good but a single airport upgrade to me is not worth $26US, especially on default FSX mesh. Great job though guys but i recommend somewhere around $12.99US if you're serious about sales.Dave

I never said it wasnt light on frames and looked nice, I'm just wondering how exactly you can justify a high price like that without the same outrage given to other high end addons (anyone remember the outrage at PMDG for the nerve of charging 60 dollars for the Queen?) when, unlike said high end addons, it is missing vital features

>I never said it wasnt light on frames and looked nice, I'm>just wondering how exactly you can justify a high price like>thatI would agree the price seems out-of-line (as a comparison Flightzone Portland with 4 airports and a large area of high detail terrain and autogen is around $34), but I am more worried about the future of FSX airport scenery in general. Custom textures make a huge difference, and I sure hope that developers can figure a way to give us the same quality of add-on airports we've seen in FS9.

I have the new GoFlight config software (FSX-FS9) and I didn't have any trouble installing the software. The install process loaded the Orlando package and I immediately flew from there. I didn't see any anomalies. The scenery performed well even with max'd AI at the airport.I don't think it was the GoFlight module that caused your problem.fb

I downloaded and installed the scenery, however I am not getting any buildings at KMCO. All I see are the Tarmac, Jetways, and some AI Airplanes. It's almost as if the demo time limit expired, but the Concrete textures remained!I am also not getting the "Addons" Pull down option in the Menu Bar.I tried reinstalling the scenery 2 times but finally gave up. Don't know why it's working for some people, but not on my system!I saw another post on Cloud9 Forum with exactly this same problem. Unfortunately I cannot post there until my Forum registration is activated!Pete S.
