You'll never see "perfect" helicopter aerodynamics/physics in a home flight sim - there's just too much going on. I'd settle for "better" than what's currently available. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

I am sure, these would make helicopters take off, even with a sub-perfect aerodynamics. November 21, 20196 yr Some bold predictions: Fs-5.1 will make a comeback within the next 12 months, but will then be eclipsed by the new MSFS MSFS will not have seasonal variation, or helicopters Some will be satisfied by MSFS, others won't No matter what, it will not be the end of the world. The world will end eventually, but not because of this.
November 21, 20196 yr I think they’ll get the gfx user settings wrong/confusing a la rdr2 leading everyone to say it has massive performance issues, when really it just extends into future, unreleased hardware. i also think it will be a massive hit, perhaps surprising to some, and will lead to a renaissance of amateur modding to a very high standard. my last hot take is that it doesn’t release until mid 2021

So i do hope they will bring us a first proper helicopter with dynamics more similar to the XP/DCS kind and from there third parties can take over. Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

I'm pretty sure that's the reason they are not including helicopters right now. They focused on getting the flight model for airplanes right and in the future do the same for helicopters. Knowing they have around 150 people working on the sim, I don't think it will take a lot of time to accomplish that. Dovetail tried that same approach on Flight Sim World, but unfortunately they ran out of money. They default aircrafts were an good improvement compared to FSX ones and their helicopters would probably get the same treatment. Now with Microsoft, I don't think we will see the same time/money constraints we saw with Dovetail. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
