X-P 11.40 behavior

Featured Replies

Just recently moved to 11.40 from 11.36 where everything was very nice...in fact it was great.

Now more than a few of my payware airports ( I.E.  CYYZ, CYTZ, CYUL..etc) are simply not present. They appear to be present and accounted for when looking within X-P itself.  That said the "Canada for XP" are just fine. These are the most obvious anomalies but others are present.

Where would one go for guidance to trouble shoot? I am sorry I ever left X-P 11.36. I'm considering removing this and reinstalling the 11.3X series if that's possible.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dave

Most scenery display issues are caused by an improperly ordered scenery_packs.ini, so start there.

Reinstalling 11.36 is not possible, unless you've made a manual backup of it before updating.

Everything was fine until moving to 11:40. I really know little of what you speak so I guess it's about time I got off my caboose and learned, LOL.

I too have updated to 11.40 and encountering an eratic behaviour with my CH Yoke. The yoke behaves as if its fighting both axes from another controller. I've been unable to successfully troubleshoot the issue. On the flip side, 11.40 may not be the cause but I thought I'd share it just in case someone is experiencing the same issue.

Here's a good starting point for learning how scenery order works:

Hi Parafin. Thanks very much. Looks like a good reference and I'll get into it shortly. Interestingly the sceneries that have "disappeared are from different producers. I've tried deleting the ini and restating X-P to create a new one but the problem remains.

JJ for me the only control difficulties I've come across in my short running time of 11.40 is/are the engines and throttle control in the MilViz turbo C310r.

X-Aviation B350, FF B737-200, Carenado Saab 340 so far seem fine.

The problem i have is the mouse cursor.Sometimes it will not work at critical moments.I can let go of the left button, and  will continue to show different angles in the cockpit when i move  it on the pad.Left click again and then it stops.Left click, and it will not work key components. Laminar knows all about this because i'm not the only one.To Jean - Jacques, my CH yoke gives me no problems like that. I wish i could help you. These issues were around before 11.40. Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!
