Glad to see you doing better Father Bill. Yesterday made one year being out of the hospital for lung issues just like yours. Another time i was cooped up for 2 weeks in a critical care unit for borderline pneumonia. Thanks for giving us prayer for support.

No flying here since 1995. I watch the classic commercials from the 60's so i can see true airline service.

One aircraft i have yet to see in XP-12 is the Lake Buccaneer seaplane. Granted it is an old frame but worth seeing a model in the sim.

Thanks for the tip. My computer was out of service for months. It has windows 10, and it's going to stay that way for a while. My machine is going to the shop for an evaluation[better graphics card etc] Please keep us posted with any changes. Thanks again.

Well said, and so true Noel. The radio was a big help during the war, and anybody rich enough to own a television set had no news.[broadcasting blackouts in parts of the country and no news casts. That came postwar] The scrap drives as you mentioned.,womans stocking drives for nylon. tires .No television factory production due to electronics being scarce.

I second that Dave and Noel. It was the men, and women working the defense factories during the war working so hard to supply the cause. Years ago i went to an airshow in Newburgh New York and a woman was standing close to me, and she described working for Chance-Vought in Stratford Connecticut building the F-4U Corsair. Rosie the riveter, and Sally the screw machine operator operating a Brown and Sharpe automatic screw machine making parts for the war effort 24/7. I am choked with emotion as i type this because both military and factory workers went through some holy you know what.

It's okay Father. Both of my eyes are fixed now and i make mistakes when i type. Getting used to these implants.

I don't have to use the zoom feature on my screen as much. The color of things in general is great. I have problems with walking.[balance] I'll bear with it. The 20th is getting close.

Sorry to hear that Fr. Bill I wish the weather would warm up and give me a break. I'm getting breaks in other ways. No longer blind when i wake up [1st cataract surgery done] Taking in a stray cat that was very clingy outside. The cat goes back out when it warms up. Hang in there.

I'm in the same boat as you Hook. I need a bottom denture like Father Bill needs. I allways eat without my denture .Thick pork chops are my favorite since the meat is tender. Corn on the cob is no problem .

For me: Better graphics card, a new CH yoke. Combine that with my eyesight being restored [cataract surgery] next month I will be a happy camper.

The 727 video i have seen is an Amerijet cargo plane landing at Douglas Charles Airport in Dominica. before the first runway extension. Flying low around a mountain and landing on a runway less than 5000 ft
