January 2, 20206 yr Hey guys hoping everyone is having a lovely 2020 so far. I am just wondering why my GSX's ground services do not align with the Fslabs A321 doors whilts GSX's ground services align well with the doors in other aircraft (i've run the FSDT updater). Hope somebody can help. Thanks Edited January 2, 20206 yr by aspeedbirdpilot
January 2, 20206 yr Yeah, the default aircraft.ini files don't line things up very well. And it seems that the up/down hotkeys stopped working in the aircraft customization editor, too. January 2, 20206 yr I thought that FSDT has already released their custom GSX profile for FSL321. January 2, 20206 yr I purchased the FSL A321 Add-on on day 1...no issues with my set up...all cabin doors, service doors and cargo doors are correctly aligned with GSX2. (Note. I've completed at least 10 flights with the CFM variant...haven't yet flown the IAE, but, can't imagine the gsx.cfg file would be different between the two airframes.) Rob

Rob In my case the ground equipment is sorta-kinda aligned with the doors, but it's far enough off to be annoying--for example the jetway punches through the side of the acft near the door, the baggage loaders are set a little too high, etc. I used the aircraft customization in GSX to adjust them more to my liking, although the up/down keys have taken to not working in the GSX 3D editor, requiring direct setting of the heights in meters AGL to make it work. edit: turns out the F1/F4 keys are the up/down in the 3D door editor, as opposed to Q/Z in the 3D docking system editor. No idea why they'd be different. F1/F4 do work as advertised. January 5, 20206 yr The folder ...Roaming\Virtuali\Airplanes is where your aircraft customizations reside. If you haven't done any (and no addons have installed their own customizations there), that folder probably doesn't exist. The default aircraft database in GSX is elsewhere, I believe in an encrypted Python file in Addon Manager\couatl\common At any rate, getting a good fit for the GSX jetways and service vehicles is a relatively simple matter of customizing the door positions in the provided tool within GSX. You do it one time, and then it works everywhere.
