Which applies, on most of our sims, only to the pressure side of the system... What I mean is, appart from Aerowinx, the old ( very restricted RTS-Pro now ALSIM ), DCS World and IL.2 Great Battles ( although these two do it in restricted scenarios ), both MSFS and X-Plane completely miss to replicate the effect when under cold weather vs hot weather. It's because none of these model non-ISA pressure lapse rates... and they do not allow for the injection of pressure gradients, so not even the best weather injectors can overcome that limitation. Wonder if ASOBO is considering it for MFS ? That proves how useless the default ATC is. No realism at all. EHAM TA is 3000ft. Either 5000 or 6000 in the UK. Variety is the spice of life! RC4 is pretty easy to get to grips with and you get the added bonus of me telling you off when you do something you shouldn't! 😁 Pity you don't have P3Dv4. Usually other way round. High pressure tend to dissolve "weather" through subsidence and air diverges on the surface. The opposite can be found on low pressure areas and associated convergence lines where moist air is being thrown uppwards and this thermal activity creates "weather". Generally speaking from PPL training only. EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
