MS/Asobo tease us to death, whats the purpose of it? surely we will purchase the product once released, but this teasing is way too much and hold us up in a limbo, too much expectation, disappointments, broken F5 key! how worst this can be?  that you soon start hating following this new simulator...

This forum has just really turned into a complaining party, yeah it sucks that you didnt get in but thats unfortunately life.

We are exceedingly lucky that we even get the option to sign up for an Alpha, most game developers could not care less about having an Alpha and some even believe letting regular users playtest let alone give proper feedback just leads to problems.

And the exact reason your complaining about is why developers usually try to avoid stuff like this, especially when its reasonably far out of launch compared to an open beta. People that get in are happy and discuss while those that dont just endlessly complain.

Another complaint that seems to be commonly heard is that "I signed up on day one and I'm still not in while someone who signed up later got in!" I highly doubt they are basing invites on people who signed up first, the developers will have their own criteria for testing, 32GB of RAM since it may not be optimised fully yet and dont want endless bug reports about performance. That is why you took a survey, they are looking for people that are most appropriate for what they need tested.

The insider forum will likely remain closed to everyone but insiders, its because the people in there are under NDA and like discussing the game and problems it may have, stuff that Asobo wouldn't want to be released publicly yet.

The public forum will probably be up eventually for general conversation you would probably be able to discuss to your hearts content there about the game but dont expect any insider info. Based on the practically zero leaks that have come out from the simulator just shows that people are enjoying it, (hopefully) assisting with feedback, bugs, etc and seems very much not wanting to let it go.

The most you can really do is just sign up and hope. Its luck of the draw unfortunately. Although the devs have said they want to give everyone a shot at it so be patient.

There’s a difference between being enthusiastic to be involved and asking what would be the negatives of a suggestion at no point has there been complaining and whining. Anyway the testers have spoken so we shall leave it there.

Exactly. There is no benefit for Microsoft if they did this, only increased risk. 

Reading the 20 pages about the size of trees in central park, on a video that shows an advance on snow, is it necessary that all insiders can access a forum reserved for alphas testers?

criticism is good, and they need it. But then there's the method and the repeat.

The topic about tree size in my opinion it probably exists on the private forum and also on other topics that are not to our knowledge. and yet there hasn't been any leak. Because testers have something to lose.

An no alpha tester has nothing to lose. And can afford everything. In the most virulent way. No interest in Microsoft. There's a lot of panic (outside alpha area) that the alpha defects will be present at release. Outside alpha area, some people also want the project to fail and are there to amplify the criticisms. Hence the private side of an alpha.

An no alpha tester has nothing to lose. 

It’s a fair point along with the other concerns raised in here. Obviously it doesn’t change the desire to be involved but I can appreciate why it hasn’t and most likely won’t happen.

I do hope you posted this in jest. 

Every time a new sim version is announced and the producer doesn't do exactly what Microsoft/Asobo are doing now, the villagers light their torches and take to the literal streets. 

I've seen endless complaining about developers announcing a new aircraft and then don't follow with pages of information. People complained.

Now for MSFS the exact opposite is happening and some still aren't satisfied?  I just don't understand.😒

I'm terribly sorry for your job loss. Hope you find another real soon. In the meantime, if you've registered you might get into either the Alpha or Beta.

Don't let it occupy too much time though. Get out there and get that job.
