February 29, 20206 yr 10 minutes ago, micstatic said: Is this yet another business jet without an fms? Nope, it has an FMS. It's basic but it has one, and of course with it having a slot for the gauge in the VC, this means you can swap it out for a fancier one if you should wish too, so you could put an ISG FMS in there if you wanted to. I have it. Bought it right when it came out. It is pretty good actually, a lot better than you will expect. A really good point about it is that it has perhaps one of the best manuals I've ever seen for an FS add-on, (125 pages in fact) doing a great job of explaining how to understand flight routings and the names of airways when abbreviated to put them into a nav system such as its FMS, and unlike a lot of manuals, it also covers what to do if your sim cannot find that nav aid as is sometimes the case. A few other developers could learn a lot from taking note of how that manual is put together. It has a great tutorial flight too, with its own 33 page manual, which assumes nothing on the part of the user, so it's a really good intro to flying jets for anyone who is new to that sort of thing. For the money it is one of my favourite FS aeroplanes, which runs great in either P3D or FSX, and it gets good frame rates as well because they've not gone overboard on the graphics. Don't get me wrong, it ain't no study sim, but it has a pretty good stab at emulating Collins ProLine 21 avionics. I like it so much in fact that I have three of them in my Air Hauler fleet: Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
February 29, 20206 yr Author Hmmm could still be ok if it works well and you update the default database with the freeware or paid update. I'll need to see some videos of the FMS. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
February 29, 20206 yr I bought V1 a while back. First impressions on the ramp were poor...VC graphics are/were very low quality (sorry to say, the photos from V2 don't look that much improved). First (and only!) flight demonstrated unreasonable flight characteristics (unless IRL this aircraft really is a rocket). Quickly removed from my P3D. I didn't spend much on it, so it wasn't a big loss. Would I feel compelled to upgrade to V2? Not likely. The selling price should be a pretty good indicator of "study sim level". It'll be interesting to read some more reviews as people start talking about V2. Rob
February 29, 20206 yr Problem for me is that the new version is essentially a shiny version of the original, and whilst I'd consider buying that at a discounted upgrade price, they are only offering that discount if you bought it from Simmarket. I didn't buy it from Simmarket but I did buy it from one of the links from their website, which now no longer exists. Since it was them who directed me to that link, I think they should honour the discount for me based on the fact that it was their link which sent me to that website to buy their product. Otherwise, frankly they can kiss my **** if they think I'll be paying full price for it, just because I happened to click on one of their several buy links rather than a different one, because one assumes that at the time they made just as much money off me buying from where I did, as they would have done had I clicked on one of the other links. So in short, they can either make some further money off me by giving me the discount, or they can make none whatsoever and I'll simply fly my non PBR version of it. October 31, 20214 yr Does anyone know how to interface the gauges with hardware. Yes FSUIPC can update specific sim variables. Does the Nextgen CJ4 V2 have published LVARS? Or FSUIPC Offsets. I want to use it with P3D V4 and a home built Lear 45 cockpit.
October 31, 20214 yr Holy Crow guys, it's not that expensive and flies great in P3D. Too much complaining. Edited October 31, 20214 yr by dhsimmonsfsx
