MSFS Release day excitement

None of this will happen, nobody buys video games physically at the store anymore, it will be an online digital product reserved for Xbox and high-end computers.

Casualcas,

Hello mate.

I think that anyone who believes that this sim is going to blow up is very much mistaken. I believe more money and research has been spent on this sim than any before it.

The basic sim, as displayed/presented thus far, is far superior to the existing sims. This is not to say that existing sims are not worth what one pays, nor, are they not worth using now and in the future.  Both the obvious competitors are overdue for upgrade anyway, and, with far less fanfare than what MSFS/Osobo are garnering at present.  We, the consumers, are inevitably, going to be the winners.

I do not mind, in any way, shape or form, debate on a sensible basis. The fact remains that the only facts we have are what is being presented by the developers.  Everything else is conjecture or simply a wish. Debate based on facts is actually fine and welcomed. Debate on conjecture is rather pointless, in my humble opinion.

My main point, and I am almost being troll-like here, is that so many of these topics are incredibly pointless and a sceptic may just think it is only to garner more publicity, and this in itselt, is totally unnecessary. MSFS and Osobo are doing just fine all by themselves. They only need us to buy the end product. There is no doubt in my mind, and  there has not been any doubt in my mind since the first bombshell release of video and screenshots. This Simulator is going to sell. It is further my prediction that it will within one month of release, become the biggest simulation platform. That too, is given that some people will "hold off" until feedback comes in.  Like this forum, that will definitely be forthcoming and it will come in bucket-loads.

Please, let us just keep the shale out of the mail, so to speak.

Regards

Tony

High end computer sounds a bit dramatic.

Now high-end computers are classified in domestic terms as 16GB Ram and $200 video cards, which is pretty much a standard system if you want to sim.

Now that sounds much less dramatic already. 😄

What makes you think you can buy the game and use it for ever on stream instead of a monthly pass plus the optional mission purchases ?

It is not released this year. Blame Corona.

I doubt this will have any culpability in a delayed release of MSFS.

MP15,

"What makes you think you can buy the game and use it for ever on stream instead of a monthly pass plus the optional mission purchases ?" (quote)

I don't. I am certainly not going to worry about it either until I know what the "deal" is. That will probably be close or after release date.

With respect, what makes you think that, that, is going to be the way to buy, rent, stream or subscribe?

I personally believe that everyone is entailed to their opinion! I remember my mother in-law back in the 70s embroidering a denim shirt, for my son, with the phrase saying “Free to be you and Me” and at time it made a real impression on me. This forum is like I have said before,  is just entertainment until the sim comes out, and we occasionally get honest information.  JMHO

Honestly, to me its a pain in the butt, I would rather be able to download it, now if I didnt have a good internet connection, my opinion might be different.

Oh good grief! Not this again...

Perhaps many of us believe what Asobo have already stated clearly?

That's how a lot of games are sold now. One payment and you use their online servers.

Why MSFS is going to make it different? Also, there is always the offical DLC system. Which could be a great improvement in some ways (as far as is not abused by devs).
