No power GTN 750

Featured Replies

Hello.

I'm new to RXP and I installed their GTN 750 software for P3DV4. I had some issues at the beginning but I got it installed finally, but when I got the gauge installed on these aircraft (Milviz CH2, Carenado's emb 120 and P12) it is in stalled but there is no power on any of them. I really do not know what to do in this case. I want to use it but it seems this problem is been around for a while. Also, is there any other version of the 750 other than touch? I don't know if mine is touch but I bought it from RXP home but it uses a F1 interface. I'm a little confused because I own other products with F1 but this particular product uses a different interface.

Thanks

P.S. I don't see an option to upload an screenshot from my computer here, unless it is from the web.

Hello.

I have requested support for the GSN750 and haven't got a response from you. I would like to know what it is that I need to do in order to get a refund. If I cannot get support then I believe the best course of action is a refund.

I can't believe there is no way to contact RXP, or at the very least chat with tech support, and the so called "customer service contact form" doesn't even work and the only response I get after I fill it and submit it is "we cannot reply to emails comcast.net because of spam settings" even though I'm not using such email. This is not freeware or trial software and it was paid in full, therefore there should be an easier way to actually contact technical support.

I had no idea AVSIM provided support for this software since the only reason I ever use it is for some downloads for flight simulation. I bought this software for training to comeback to fly in the real world since I'm a private pilot, so I am disappointed on the poor tech support level.

Hello,
I am another user/member here like you.  You have found the right place to gain support. Recommend you be patient now that you are hear.  Work loads and world time zone differences play in to response time.

Support here is not Avsim support.  This Reality XP Support Forum is under the watch of Reality XP.  There is also valuable user-to-user help here when the issue is well defined, the issue has been common to other users, and if in that exchange a resolution has been provided.  You can look through topic listings in the specific forum for your product, in your case, despite the typo, I would identify the GTN sub-forum here.  You did not in your post say what simulator you are using, and what version of that simulator you have in use.  The assumption is that you are using either FSX or P3D based on where you posted.

I read frustration in your post, but you did not fully define scope of the issue.  Sim in use, aircraft model, installation locations of both the sim in use and the aircraft, and whether you used the default install location for both the RXP gauge and the separate Garmin GTN trainer that the RXP gauge requires in order to work properly.  I believe that the most common causes of no power are custom installation locations, and configuration of the gauge once installed.

Be patient.  Define the issue per my comments above.  Help will come.

Just another user.. but agree with the above..

Do you have both the GTN gauge and the Garmin GTN Trainer installed?

What sim and how are you adding the GTN 750 to your airplane?

Do you see the GTN750 Frame, but a black screen.. or what are you experiencing?

Lots of us have this gauge working in many airplanes... so I am sure you will soon as well..

Bert

You posted the same thing a second time, but without the details..

Suggest this topic be closed and you continue the discussion in the other post which has multiple responses.

Just to clarify.. the RXP GTN 750 Touch is the latest version.  F1 is not involved except for the purchase process which uses the F1 "wrapper"...  This problem has not "been around for a while", so I fully expect that you will be up and running soon.

I just purchased with the same problem before I realize the Garmin Trainer is required rather than recommended...

@perohijo Hi, can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see RXP User's Manual for file/path).

@C2615 Hi, I'm wondering whether our installer didn't explicitly told so and offered downloading it as well?!

Well,I think it did, but as I just briefly scan it I see it's a trainner i guess it's something like to replace manual...and I do have a habit to not install any unnecessary part anyway so....

@C2615 Ok. Are you all setup and the GTN working for you now?

Hello.

I am using P3Dv4 and the files are installed on the default location. I installed the gauge, not as a pop up window, but on the aircraft itself. I installed it on Carenado's Embraer 120, Pilatus PC12, and also on the Milviz DHC Beaver 2. I tried it on all these aircraft with the same results. All the default gauges power up fine except the GTN750. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling all the Carenado aircraft and also uninstalling and reinstalling GTN750 , including the trainer. The trainer works fine by the way so that is not part of the problem. I did not uninstalled the Milviz because this airplane has it own interface to activate and deactivate aftermarket gauges, which I believe Carenado should use. I am trying to get Carenado to provide support for an issue that might even be related to this issue, but their responses seem to be directed to a 10 year old (not going to elaborate) but suffice to say that when I'm starting to taxi or during runup for take off all the gauges go off, or dark, even though the airplane still flies. I tried to upload a screenshot from my computer here but couldn't see the option.

I use Windows 10 pro and this computer was made specifically for flight simulator in general and P3Dv4 and the upcoming MFS 2020  by Jetline systems.

OK, lets start with the PC12, which is an aircraft that I also have installed.

Did you use the Carenado F1GTN.. exe app to select the GTN?

Did you then afterwards start up the airplane and use the RXP addons dropdown app to convert the two F1 GTNs to the RXP versions?

Just take me through what you did on the PC12 and we'll get it working.

BTW.. you may also be interested in our community mod for the PC12 which adds functionality to the panel..

On the very first time it can bee seen the simulator I'm using as well as which aircraft I am having problems with.

@perohijo Well there is no magic wand to help you and we can't guess what is happening on your computer, this is why our products are saving valuable information in the form of log files. Is there any issue why you're refusing to just post the content of the RXP log files?
