P3d v5 AI Missing?

Featured Replies

Got sliders both at 50%. Seeing nothing.

Is it P3d v5 or me?

1. Set your aircraft at a busy international airport.

2. Set your AI Traffic slider to 100%

3.  Make sure you have a trafficAircraft.bgl file located at your path Prepar3D\Scenery\World\scenery.

4. If still a no go, consider adding AI From Alpha India Group.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Thanks Ed and Clutch. Not looking for a work around, at least not now. Wanted to confirm what I’m seeing.

They say two’s company but there’s a crowd. If more than Ed and I chime in with no AI, then we may have a bug to add to V 5’s already storied big list

1. Check

2. check

3. check

4. Nothing visual.  but, when I right click on my screen and look at the traffic tab, there is a bunch listed, nothing in the air.....

I have AIG for 4.5HF3 and it works great but, will have to wait till there updated for V5...  Thank you though for the reply.

Maybe AI is active but the models or textures are not compatible with V5 anymore and not showing?
I had this with some FSX planes when I tried them in P3D v4. The textures won't show up.

Before i integrated AIG traffic i hat the stock AI, saw plenty of it at FRA during my first test. It works, something wrong on your side.

AIG is mostly working and can be easily activated in P3Dv5, I’d highly suggest going that route.

Find you addon.cfg file in P3Dv4 and find the OCI entry, it will look something like this:

[Package.54]
PATH=D:\OCI\AIGAIM - OCI\OCI-Configuration
TITLE=AIGAIM AI Traffic
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false

Paste it into your addon.cfg file in P3Dv5, to be overly safe yo could make a copy of your addon.cfg file first.

That's it, v5 should pick up your traffic next time you load it up.

And turning off the stock trafficaircraftl.bgl of course.

Yes, thanks, forgot about that step, it’s one of the first things I do when installing a new version of P3D, sorry to Orbit airlines or whatever they are called 🙂

Thanks,

I was able to put the Orbx GA Traffic from V4.5HF3 that I have into P3D V5 and now have all kinds of GA traffic. Will work on the Airline traffic also.
