I think maybe my acceptance email went to my junk folder In January which gets auto deleted every 30 days. On the insider hub I show I joined the Microsoft flight sim alpha but it doesn’t have a link to download. Any ideas?

If you can see it in the insider hub app then you're in. Though why it doesn't show a download, I don't know you'd have to contact support.

Yeah if I go to manage it doesn’t give me an option to download anything.

In order to access the Alpha build, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download (or update) the Xbox Insider Hub via this link.

  2. Launch the Hub and navigate to the “Insider Content” tab on the left side of the screen.

  3. Once there, you'll find the Flight Simulator Alpha page.

  4. Select “Join” while at the Flight Simulator Alpha icon.

  5. Wait for “Join” to change from “Pending” to “Manage” and “Show in Store”.

  6. Select the “Show in Store” icon which will take you through to the Windows 10 Store page.

  7. Install as you would any other game.

Best regards

Ok makes sense. So I’m still showing “manage”, so I guess I’ll wait until it shows “show in store”. Hopefully I didn’t get dropped from the alpha. Thanks so much for the reply.

Anyone have problems getting the Xbox Insider Hub to work? I have installed this app multiple times and it never lets me sign in; all I get is an error message. I have tried all of the "fixes" posted on various MS sites and none work.

I don't currently have an invite but apparently even if I did I would not be able to access the alpha d/l because of this problem. I've been wondering if the Insider Hub doesn't work for me because I haven't been added to some list on the site.

Any ideas?

I had to un-install / re-install the x-box app and sign in there first; then I was able to open and use the insider app.

Not in the alpha so can't comment about the download of MSFS itself but worth a try.

What happens when you click on "manage" - can you select a group?

Check if you can access the alpha forum by signing in as insider on the MSFS website. Posting there would probably be more effective.

Clicking on manage just brings me to the enroll/unenroll option again. If I reenroll it goes from pending to manage but never goes past manage.

Xbox insider hub just will not work for me, I have tried everything recommended multiple times. Does anyone know if your name has to be listed or added to some site database before the sign in procedure will work?  I do not have an xbox, but do own Forza Horizon 4 for PC that I bought from the Microsoft store.

Nope. Found the problem. Looks like I had some xbox services set to manual. Switching them back to automatic and restarting fixed everything.

Something must be messed up on your apps. If you have an account you should be able to login. If you are an insider, you are good to go. Try to uninstall and reinstall all the apps related to the Hub.

Microsoft Store and the insider Hub are totally different apps. You can access the Forza Horizon through the store, you don’t need the Insider Hub for that.

The Insider Hub is meant to be used by the insiders, to have access to alpha/beta versions of apps/games they are testing.

Thanks for your input. I assure you I've uninstalled everything multiple times and reinstalled them to no avail. I simply can't get in and cannot find any help on the web that explains what the problem is and how to fix it, as everything I have tried doesn't work. That's why I wondered if you have to have your account name added to some database that will approve your sign in.

It's a mystery to me, I have no problem tracking down errors and fixing them but this one has me stumped, and I don't what else to do about it. I don't think I've missed an email invite to the Alpha but really wanted to check the Insider Hub to make sure. It just isn't happening though...
