Someone on the facebook who is an alpha tester and also a real world pilot confirms that the article is pretty spot on. His exact words "I'm in alpha and I'm also a real world pilot. The flight model is terrible. The instrument realism is also terrible. The scenery is indeed very good."

I'm an 'alpha tester' and 'real world pilot' on facebook as well.

Yup, if everyone on the internet who claimed to be 'a real pilot' really was a pilot, the entire population of the internet would be out of a job at the moment. I know this incidentally, because I am a real astronaut.🤣

Cancel NDA! But I don't think MS would be so stupid.

I think this guy cobbled an article together based on the Feedback Snapshot.

As long as I have no evidence to the contrary, the MSFS has died for me

The article on his website doesn't match with the text pasted to Avsim. Did he edit his article later? He's taken a lot of the edge out of it and the paragraph about peripheral support seems to be missing completely.

These idiots always hide behind screen names.  Despite the obvious bias towards DCS, the credibility is just not there.  Seriously, we have ACTUAL alpha testers on here (confirmed in the MSFS forums) that say this guy is full of word not allowed and that the sim is very nice.  We have video evidence of the flight dynamics in a spin (one of the best indicators of flight model).  We have top-tier developers (real-life pilots as well) such as Robert Randazzo of PMDG, who have literally stated they will stop developing for everything else EXCEPT MSFS.  Businesses such as PMDG don’t just say that based on a hunch of what the new sim will be.  They KNOW what the new sim will be capable of.  Aerosoft is seemingly enamored by MSFS and definitely plans development for the platform.  Also, CS has stated they will be moving to MSFS, JF wants to, as well as a bunch of other developers...  They have been testing the alpha for a while, yet they still intend to move to MSFS...

I’m inclined to trust these companies/people a lot more than Joe Blow on Facebook who clams he is a “real-World pilot” and/or some random dude’s homemade webpage...

And if you don’t trust these reputable companies, then just go back and ask yourself what stage of development this software is in.  Hint... It’s in freakin ALPHA stage.

Interesting, he has indeed changed the post since I copied this morning.

My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet

Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

Forgot to put this in my post above...

But also, in a PRE-Alpha stage, MSFS hosted popular FS youtubers, popular real youtube pilots, and a bunch of other folks in the industry.   They ALL praised the new sim, including Froogle, who had initially trashed it before being invited to try it.  That was a long time ago.  We’ve seen first-hand the things they have implemented based on our feedback since then.  Every indication is that it was a great sim back then, and that it has actually improved since.  Yet this third-rate “blogger” claims this is all fake?  And we’re supposed to believe him?  Give me a break!

Wow you are correct. I wonder if the MS ninjas took him out or if he realized he was going to get called out on nonsense.

Let's be honest here, anyone who imagines the new MS flight sim is going to be the be all and end all solution to all flight simming needs, and who is surprised by the idea that Microsoft want to leverage new technology and (shock horror) actually make money out of their endeavour and have it suit their own hardware products and infrastructure, is not exactly the sharpest tool in the box.

Correct, however Microsoft is NOTHING without customers, and their products have to suit customers needs, MS Flight is proof of this.

Well, I'm inclined to believe that it's the Microsoft's secret task force that's raided his apartment and locked him away to hide Microsoft's cunning master plan of first marketing a realistic flight sim and then on launch day watch as the flight simmers realize they've been lied to all the way. MS can then proceed to phase two of the plan and start collecting tears of the hopeless flight simmers and use it for cooling their Azure data centers.
