What exactly is the FSGenesis>landclass and why should I get that?? Hi,I have the 9.8 meter which covers most of the US. It does not include Alaska but the future FSX version of Misty and Tongass Fjords will make that concern go away. ;) Also, the coverage is not contiguous across the US, i.e. Grand Canyon and other areas that have been mentioned. I do notice a very nice difference in eastern Pennsylvania. Also San Diego looks much better. I posted some early pics in the screenshot forum of the area east of San Diego Ca in early October. They were using the stock landclass but the elevation details were evident. Hope this helps.Bob.. Bob Prince
October 18, 200619 yr I bought it the first day Justin offered it. So the installer wasn't available. What a drag! ;)Bob.. Bob Prince
October 18, 200619 yr Thanks Stewart, So nice to see there is some civility left here in the forums. Craig
October 18, 200619 yr Geofa, Last night I downloaded the new 0101 area for FSX and went to take a look at Mt ST Helens, it is incredible. I took off from WN10 in the Bell Ranger and slewed over to the Mountain, try you will see. Finally to recap I have FSX Mesh and yes it is 9.6m. Also make sure slider is set to 5m. Also just to see how my system would respond. I turned off auto-gen and opened others open all the way. I set graphics, airplane, weather, and traffice, to minimal. I call it my Mountain flying settings....let me know what you see.Danny

October 18, 200619 yr Author Commercial Member HI Guys,I uploaded about 4 Gb of new data yesterday and we're definitely on final, so if you haven't stopped by in a few days, go get the new files. Should have the rest of the coverage available before too late tomorrow evening, then I'll upload the auto-installers to be available sometime on Friday. Will be manufacturing DVDs all weekend and will probably start shipping those on Saturday. This initial release won't have coverage for the flat areas of the midwest, though the Black Hills, Ozarks, and the Davis and Chisos Mountains of SW Texas will be covered.Full coverage of the Plains and to fix some default Alaska anomalies will be made available via a free update in a month or so.I haven't calculated the exact size yet, but it mostly likely will require a two-DVD set.-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net

Kinda weird that it says 10m terrain mesh ned but then in the title bar it says 19m.Regardless I am still downloading and giving it a try.
October 18, 200619 yr Hello Justin:Have not received delivery of FSX yet and have purchased your new Mesh with great anticipation; but just wondered if a new Landclass package for FSX is in the works and when we might hope to see it.Keep up the good work.Respectfully:RTH
October 18, 200619 yr Author Commercial Member Hello,The current landclass works fine in FSX. Just drop it in sceneryBASEscenery. But, yes, there will be further updates, the first of which should come around Thanksgiving.-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
