I'm still on v4.5 and the clouds when using ASP3D really do look strange... like the bottom part of the cloud is something that resembles soft clouds and the top part is what REX SkyForce provides. Anyway, I did only two flights with ASP3D so far and didn't experience any issues. I installed and activated it solely because you have to do that to be eligible to free upgrade when the beta ends. Now that I have it installed I'm going to use it because, so far, I can't find any reason not to. P3D v4.5 HF3 is the sim I tested with ASP3D. Now I'm back to using ASP4 with P3D v4.5 HF2. MSFS
May 11, 20206 yr I have been getting the kernelbase.dll CTDs on weather injection from the Beta 2. Can't even get a flight started. As soon as first weather load, boom! Sim shuts down. I posted my experience on the Beta Forum, and there are alot of posts with this issue. May 11, 20206 yr Moderator Really puzzling. I read the CTD reports - all during beta the only time I had a CTD was when someone asked me to test a specific flightplan that had crashed on them. I'm currently flying both 4.5 and 5 with latest HF and have had no issues. My install in not networked. I'm sure Hifi will get a handle on it quickly. I also know of many people who are not getting the CTD. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
May 11, 20206 yr Curious. I am in a network setup, and I think a few others on the Beta Forum discussing the CTDs may be as well. If I get some time, I might try a local install to see what happens. May 11, 20206 yr Moderator To make matters worse, I see posts on Orbx forums where many are reporting CTD's and they are not using AS. Personally I'd feel more comfortable if the base (P3D) were more stable. I would expect another hotfix prior to a point release. Still love the flying though even with the issues. May 11, 20206 yr I get constant ctd just flying around Orbx full fat regions, especially Pacific Northwest, and my VRAM is well within range. Also the latest ASP3D beta loses clouds and does not follow the metar, and doesn't refresh without a restart. Already reported on beta forum.
